A coworker asked me today, "I'm trying to get a gift for this girl I like, do you have and ideas of what I should get her?"

He wanted to give her some kind of spa voucher things, and I told him I thought that was kinda lame/cliche.

Then it got me thinking.

What is a good gift for a woman?

I told mr. coworker the gift should be something very unique and unexpected, something that accurately expresses the feelings desired to be professed (i.e. a dozen red roses vs. a stick of deodorant :rofl ) and it should be something they could use frequently, so when they use it they think of who gave it to them.

Meeting this criteria for him, I'm thinking...........herpes. :sex

But for super cereal, what are you planning for your SO?

Or more directly, what the hell do you women want?!? :confused

A nice sweater thoughtful and useful. If I read this properly he is not waxing it yet.

Or my go to super xmas gift is a gift cert to goodvibes. If you don't know then you don't need to know but someone is usually an xmas hero.

Not waxing, just trying to "open the playing field" if ya know what I mean.

I told him to just talk to her more, PAY ATTENTION, and see what she is into. Get a gift that says "I like you", but not "I want to stick my face between your titties and go BRBRBRBRBRBRBRB!!!!!"

A gift certificate will always be a hit. Girls love going out and buying their own stuff, and I am always ecstatic about receiving them.

Besides, a gift certificate avoids him buying her something she doesn't like very much and the uncomfortable fake excitement she has to show (and then the inconvenience of returning something).

If he isn't dating her, I would suggest bebe, MAC Cosmetics, Sephora, Macy's or Nordstrom.

Save Victorias Secret for when he has gotten to know her a little better, otherwise it looks creepy coming from a guy one hardly knows.

If he really MUST go get her a trinket, MAC Cosmetics has gift sets especially out for the holiday that any girl would love. Same with Sephora.

I'm buying my girl a gas grill!!!

She has a crappy 'mini-Weber' charcoal grill and she likes me to cook for her, so I'll get her a grill.

I think your coworkers idea of a 'spa gift cert.' was a great idea.

My girlfriend gets some pretty bad restless leg syndrome, so I got her a foot/calf massager from Brookstone. That way, when I'm not around, she can get some relief.

I have not one clue but if they aren't dating yet I'd be careful about giving too large of a gift.

1: "Cut a hole in a box"
2: "Put your junk in that box"
3: "Make her open the box... and that's the way you do it!"

I dunno about other wimminz, but if all I got for Xmas was one thing from LUSH (there's one in Valley Fair) I'd be happy. :)

Roost Deflector or Chest Protector
2008 Womens Fox Gear
Anodized Green Fuel Vent Valve
Cycle Gear Gift Card

...one of or all of the above.

I feel sorry for you poor bastards with girlfriends/SO's who don't ride :twofinger

I gave a girl a helmet once. Only works if they ride though :laughing
