That's a good idea. I will look at different strap down positions.I used to tie my bikes down by the front brake caliper mounts. The suspension wasn't compressed at all and you could get unbelievable tension with a conventional strap just by rocking the bike to the side as you cinch it down. The bikes were rock solid once secured that way.

the system i got setup, i cant use a front wheel chock. totally not in the cards. i still tie the bike down towards the front and rear, so it 'cant' move, but it still inevitably does a bit, back and forth, and it will work its way a bit sidewayz after a long bumpy trip. putting it in gear is an OK idea, but it still is gonna have a bit of forward and back slop.
