I am setting up an auction for a Charity, we want 5 baskets to auction off. What can I put in the baskets that people would desire them?

Basket 1. $200 bucks worth of signed stuff that was donated by the Padres
Basket 2 Date Night - Movie tickets, dinner gift card - Free Limo ride- what else can we add that would make yall bid on it?
Basket 3 Beer from around the world? That good?
Basket 4 Kitchen stuff, handmade pottery bowls that were donated, any ideas to add?
Basket 5 Del Mar Fair tickets - What else can I add?

I need creative ideas peeps, got any?

I am doing the sign up sheet now, totally putting those on it, awesome Beau, got anymore ideas? :)

I would replace those wooden spoons with bamboo spoons. They rock and clean so much easier :thumbup

You can also do lower end items like wine/chocolate, cheese...a self contained romantic picnic basket...

I am putting that in the date basket ^ strawberry flavored :laughing

Would that work in the date basket instead of the dinner gift card, which would make you bid on it more? I don't know wines though. I might get a horrible choice :laughing

We're both married so I'll keep my other ideas to myself.
:laughing Baskets Beau, think baskets! :laughing

one basket...3 books: Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty shades Freed

should be your highest bidder :laughing

nope. But I'm a fan of what those 3 books for other reasons :teeth

Well, you better add the edible panties and the self-heating oil too, then. :teeth

A friend recommended 50 shades. But I am not adding it to a basket a lot of people don't even read, but what about music to the date basket? Probably not huh.

Yall get in the game, what can I add to the fair tickets?

Well, if you read fiction, you'd probably enjoy his Paladin of Shadows Series. It was both the subject in the books your recommended embedded in some decent military storylines.

Stop talking about books dorks! Start thinking Baskets and what would interest you enough to bid on them!

Ammo basket? Heavy, but that's what I'd want.

Artisanal breakfast basket might be nice--fancy sealed bacon, high-grade maple syrup, jar of clotted cream, handmade jams, and high-end pancake or waffle mix. Maybe a thing of good coffee beans, too.

i am the chair of a large annual charity auction (silent and live - raising typically $120,000), and have found the key to high selling baskets is having beautiful things in them, and being able to see the contents clearly. hottest selling baskets at our auction are picnic wine baskets with wine, wine glasses, cheese, pâté, olives, french table linens, etc., and kids baskets containing teddy bears, treats and other toys. last year we did all movie themed baskets. top sellers were julie and julia containing a julia child cookbook, and all of the tools and ingredients for one recipe using a deep calphalon pan as the basket; a godfather basket with italian food items, majorcan hand painted stoneware and italian wine; and a casablanca basket with a tangine, moroccan spices, various other associated ingredients, mint tea and moroccan tea glasses, and a moroccan cookbook. each basket also contained a DVD of the theme movie. PM me if you'd like ideas on how to get donations.
