You can't really judge a presidency until decades later. IMO it all will be decided with the fate of the Middle East and Afghanistan. We drastically changed the area during the last decade. Will Iraq ramp up oil exploration and production? Bush and Cheney made some broad strokes.

Sometimes you amaze me, this time wasn't one of them. :p

Even a diehard "take a wait and see approach" advocate like me has a problem with the way the whole thing went down. Cheny was neck deep in conflicting corporate interest and clearly profited from his Vice Presidency by selling war. What it appears to most people is that he was a war monger and profiteer who used the People's office and the lives of American Soldiers to leverege personal profit. Any outcome in the Middle East will have more to do with circumstance and fate than calculated "brush strokes."

I don't post to get your panties moist. I posted to add a different OPINION to Climber's latest pick on Cheney thread. Feel free to cornhole you Cheney blow up doll if that gets you through the holidays. :thumbup

Cheneys has been the most DANGEROUS VP.

But effective. And that's been the scary part.

I think Cheney pretty much been the President.

And we have had number of VP's running the show in modern times.

Nixon during Eisenhower's second term.

George HW Bush during Reagan's terms.

And now Darth Vader during Bush 43's terms.

:wtf? You are an ass.

Sith Lord, I can't really call him a bad VP because that would infer that I find him incompetent which he is clearly not.

Sheebus, Brett:rolleyes

You have such a massive and undying hard-on for the Bush administration you must have laminated picks of all of them in your shower:laughing

Climber, what's your point?
No point, I was curious about the general perspective on BARF.

With any perspective, there are going to be different levels with the following:
1. Your perspective.
2. The perspective of those around you.
3. The perspective on BARF
4. The perspective of those polled
5. The perspective of the nation

I knew what 1,2 and 4 were, I was curious about 3.

Polls and your inner circle of friends don't tell the whole story, it's always illuminating to understand the perspectives of those outside of those around you and BARF provides a good cross-section of people.

I hear ya, but I'm just talking about the frequency with which you post about all things Bush. I've met you, I read your posts and I think for a guy with obvious wit and some keen insight, you come off as a broken record in this respect. I mean, the guy IS done...he's finished. Out with the old, in with the new. I for one am looking forward to you turning your attention away from the old administration so I can get more of your opinions on current events.

Dick is one of the great Americans of all time. A wonderful human being in addition to being one of the most respected leaders of this great country ever. It is difficult to watch how someone of his stature can be so misunderstood by so many people who should be grateful for his meritorious service to the country. I feel sorry for him as it must be so painful for someone who has suffered so selflessly for so long. It would have been nice to see him in some way profit personally from all of this somehow, but life is not always fair. Dick, you will really be missed. Much love from an eternal devotee here - you're my number one pick for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. Take good care, I love you like a father - Merry Christmas Dad!

Bottom 10 %

well at least he didn't get booted from office for criminal acts like Agnew (which left the job opening for Ford to become VP, then when Nixon resigned, Prez)
