Where should I park my bike?

lady complained about a moto parked on the sidewalk chained to a tree...police came and ticket it...saw a tow truck that cut the chain and used straps to lift the bike straight up....plastics got scuffed up and i wouldn't be surprised if it cracked in certain places...i mentioned that he is damaging the bike and he said it didn't matter because police asked him to remove the bike on a sidewalk and blocked by a tree...this was the only way to remove the bike...

is this true?...if the vehicle is not parked on road and it is on a sidewalk or other random place...police can allow the tow truck to remove the vehicle even if it causes damage?....
 
Tow truck drivers are some of the biggest assholes known to mankind. It should be made illegal to feed them..!

Yet another reason why I only park my motorcycles where I know that it's legal to park them.
