Where to go for a dyno tune

Nice post dude. I like a guy that speaks up and stands behind his product.

KC, roughly how much would it cost for a custom tune on a Ninja 250?

:facepalm seriously?!?!

We charge $325 for your standard power commander fuel only. Ignition is an extra $100.00. We also do a Woolich tune which will re-flash the ECU--no power commander needed. That's $475. There's is a small harness that is needed at a cost of $15.00 and labor to install is $65. The Woolich tune is truly amazing.
Yes you can get a Dyno tune done cheeper elsewhere, but I'll guarantee there will be room for improvement. It comes down to how good a job you want: if "just ok", or you want the bike running the best it can throughout the whole RPM range. If you're happy with "just ok" then the cheep shop is where you need to go. We are not the shop for you. But if you want your baby running the best it ever has, please give us a call. Every bike I do has my name on it. It has to be right.
Thanks
K.C.

KC - what about tuning carbeutered bikes? I've got a CB350 that I'd like to get into that sweet spot in all throttle positions, but I think I'm going to need more data than just the feel of my butt.

Carburetor tune with stock air cleaners or air pods.
what if any mods and what pipe are you running
woul be a range of 250.00 to 350.00

sure we just did Gals at city bike.
what carbs do u have on the bike

KC, using your dyno and ega, can you see signs detonation? I bought a race bike from one of the guys that used to work at your shop. I blew that motor (my fault, not builders) and swapped parts into another motor. I found out the hard way that the head work along with my cam timing will not tolerate pump gas. Can you tell if I need 100 or 110 or if something else would work better?

who's bike was it and do you know what the compression is. What make of bike we could most likey tune it for the gas you want to run instead of have to..:thumbup

Also and sorry I did not include a thank you to all of you that post in favor for BRG. Steve thank for posting the video. I've never seen my self dynoing before.:teeth

It belonged to Jason. '99 SV650 which would have been built in early 2000's and raced in AFM. I think Jason ran 110 in it. Compression is unknown manly because I don't know what was done to the heads. When the motor blew I put the heads and the adjustable cams on a stock motor. Thinking the high compression was due to pistons and/or decked cylinders, I ran pump gas which caused detonation that blew a ring land. Engine now has stock cylinders, busa pistons, thin gasket and the head volume is unknown. I've been running a mix of 100/110 trying to play it safe. I was thinking of tearing it down this winter to CC the heads to figure out the compression but if the correct octane gas could be figured out without having to do that, all the better.

ok i know the bike well made 95 hp when we finish it. the comp should be around 13.5
with every thing you've done to god only knows where the comp is now. He would never run 110 in it his motor. Its to thick. can u do a compression test. that will give me an idea what comp u have now

Stock box with drop in air filter. Running a full 2 bros system at the moment. No other mods at the moment, but I'm considering a few. Will contact you once I get everything squared away. Thank you! :thumbup

I considered BRG but Berkeley Performance Motorcycle ended up being cheap enough and close enough that I'm going with them. It's convenient being all of 2 miles away. He worked on it a little today, apparently it was pretty far off. He should be finishing it tomorrow morning. Apparently the map was all over the place, I'm looking forward to riding it after.

If I didn't already have a PCIII (it came on the bike) I'd seriously consider the Woolich tune, $555 total is pretty cheap compared to PCIII or PCV and then a dyno tune on top of that, but it's on the bike.
