Why is there no looting in Japan?

Bullshit. The didn't riot because no team from Japan has ever won NBA Championship.

Japanese, most of them at least, have impeccable manners. There was a story in LA Times how one lady who was crushed by falling debris, apologized to her rescuers for causing them trouble.

maybe different groups of people are completely different

genetically and culturally. i mean, science has been proving this shit forever, so does reality. different people are different, not the same, even though their is overlap. its also why 3 trillion people in haiti died, and the place is still a flaming shithole despite how much aid is dumped into it, and comparatively no one died in the dominican republic, and there is a huge fence between the two with armed guards. haiti is a shithole infested with retarded scumbags. ever been to haiti? like rape? like abduction? like aids? not everyone is the same. get over it.

Unfortunately, bigotry is a pan-cultural human trait.

And there's prison in every society, so I think Japan is not immune to looting or the concept of larceny.
 
One thing's certain, right now Japan is making us look like a bunch of uncivilized lunatics.

With a major disaster here, we'd be cannibalizing each other in the streets within days.
 
Cause Japanese culturally are less independent and free spirited, but more community and team working. This doesn't mean every American is a cowboy with a gun in the wild west, or every Japanese is a servant with no goal but to serve the community, but when talking about millions of people and referring to the overall culture, it can be explained through generalization.

I think it's the Japanese culture is just so different, very alien to us. From birth they are taught to fit in, put the group interests ahead of individual interests. I'm guessing it's because they have a unique culture from when they closed their shores to outsiders for hundreds of years after the samurai were finally able to unite the country, but that's just a wild guess.

I lived in Tokyo four years, totally loved living there, but the longer I was there and the more I learned, I realized I would never truly understand the culture either. It's fascinating!
