Sorry to hear that, but hopefully you'll find something better. Work is now not back to the office until January-ish though they continue to allow voluntary office visits, and I continue to not care about that.
 
Neither commander nor follower here. Just the guy who knows how to keep the processing machinery in the plant working. Even with reduced orders the machinery still needs TLC or stoppages occur.

The owner knows it, so do the sales staff. I'm good.

Same here. Originally my company was to be back in the office in August. Then pushed back to October, now pushed back to January.

Although, to be fair, that was only partially due to the any covid resurgence. Also, they decided to completely remodel the 9 story corporate office building. Which I find to be kind of a strange choice in this climate where many companies are giving up or scaling back their physical space to be fully remote.

My employer has been buying more real estate so I guess they expect to have some portion of the workforce coming back one way or another. That or we are about to pivot to a new industry.
