World Cup

I'm gonna go around to every thread I can find about a race or Formula 1 or MotoGP or Motocross and say how much it sucks and I hate it and it's dumb and post a bunch of ignorant stupid shit that shows how little I know about it but JUST WANNA MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS I DON'T LIKE IT AND I'M COOL

or is that only OK in soccer threads
I think I've done that for most sports TBH :laughing

Dude got a red card for a bad haircut.

I don’t get this sport.
Arguing with the ref is a bad idea. I don't understand why players don't just walk away instead of becoming confrontational.

Because it worked well for Argentina, especially against England.

Looks like the sleazy, dirty head of FIFA is looking to enrich himself sub substantially like a true greedy fuck.

Fifa offers $40m if nations back controversial plan
Fifa president Gianni Infantino has written to all 211 member associations saying they will receive $40m (£30m) if they back his controversial plan to sell off stakes in its major competitions.

Infantino has set a deadline of 19 September for football federations to accept his plans if they want to access an initial $20m (£15m).

Football's world governing body has said it wants to create a commercial subsidiary to run its main events, including the World Cup, and external investors will be able to buy stakes in it.

Uefa, European football's governing body, accused Fifa of using football "to enrich themselves and their friends".

The incentive to nations comes less than 24 hours after the bombshell statement rocked football's foundations, quickly leading to condemnation from Europe, Asia and North America.
He hatched this plan without any consultation of any of the members, then puts a tight deadline on agreeing and offer of money if they do. Classic cheap trick to get people to rush into a deal they know very little about.

This guy should have been ousted a long time ago!

Hmmm..

Fifa felt like it is the Olympic committee in concept to me.

Heck.. I have no idea if the OC people are making big bank.

But now it feels like Fifa is the NFL.

The articles I saw about it mention a certain son in laws name that can't be named as being associated (albeit at short arms length distance) with becoming owner/manager of this new entity...

Shocking

The corruption is palpable with this whole mess.

No, the NFL is a VERY well run organization that doesn't trifle in corruption, and GREATLY disadvantages it's owners to create a more competitive team structure. They are wildly better than FIFA.
