F1 because the repair bill after I crashed it would be phenomenal. I would frame it and hang it in my office. :thumbup

F1 car + whatever number we're up to.

Last I checked, new sportbikes are on a par with moto GP bikes from 8-10 years ago. Let's call it a decade. For the same money, I can buy a 4-6 year old fast-ish car that would keep up with a F1 type car from...... maybe the 1940's?

The gap between what is available to the public, and what F1 cars can do, is astronomical. Bikes, not so much. I'd rather try a machine that's 60 years ahead instead of 10.

GP bike - it would be an EPIC parade lap and I would hang way off in the corners for pictures. :laughing

F1 car - I would ride it like one should, hanging off in the corners... hopefully they have a safety harness that can accommodate my desires.

I'd have to go with F1:cool. basically a MotoGP bike on steroids:teeth ...the ulrimate rush:cool

(actually flying a fighter jet and blowing something up, would be the ultimate for me:laughing)

F1 + I love the way the sound and smell

Qualifications aside, I'd pick the bike, just cause I am scared shitless of the F1 cars. I swear, watching them in real time seems like watching them in fast-forward.

GP bike cause the F1 car would have no feel to me and would be way more foreign to drive. I'm sorry but I can't have fun If I'm pullin 3g's and I don't know what a front end slide is supposed to feel like. Gimme a GP bike , some soft compounds on tire warmers, and I'll have all the fun in the world until my fat ass runs outta breath. It may have a ton more power and handle better and weigh 100lbs less than my R1, but it'll be easier to ride because it turns in better and has good tires.

Just FYI to everyone who chose F1 car, your neck muscles don't have the strength to keep your head upright during braking. They do special neck exercises on a special machine to train for that. You'd be so scared and confused you wouldn't know what to do. Go too slow and the car won't drive right. The tires will get cold. No downforce around corners. No thanks.

I'm not too sure bout that...Rossi goes pretty fast in the Ferrari and he has a neck like a little girl:laughing.

I love it i didn't know there is so many F1 fan here .....most defintly F1. Go Massa for world champ89834.jpg

Masa, Hamilton I'll take ether car for a spin (heck I'd take buttons if they let me). I just hope that Brasil will be fun to watch and they are both on the front row.

I'm pretty sure I could get on the hardest-to-ride, hardest-to-set-up MotoGP bike with the least competent crew and lap within a few seconds of my times on my 250 or 600.

I'm pretty sure I could not squeeze in to an F1 cockpit and if I could I would stall it in the pit.

Good poll

+1 for getting a chance to ride a GP bike. I love F1 too, but.....dude, c'mon, 2wheels vs. 4 wheels, which moves your soul?

Probably couldn't ride it to it's potential, as I probably don't ride my current bike to it's full potential, but would be hella fun, never-the-less. I imagine pics of me riding it, might look like my first trackday pics though :toothless

Didn't you see Top Gear with The Midget trying to drive an F1 car? It took him ALL DAY in all kinds of other formula cars before he could even manage a lap. And even then, he had to come in so they could warm the tires back up again...

I think I'd have more fun on the bike, as I reckon it would just be more of what I'm used to. The F1 car, totally different experience.

So, new experience, or fun? Hard to say. I've ridden some stupid-fast bikes, that probably come close to GP machinery for power/weight.

Nothing remotely like an F1 car on 4 wheels tho. Not even slightly.

Quoting myself is weird, but, I found it:

EDIT - Holy shit! They didn't have 'God Save The Queen' on the actual televised version, that's hysterical!

I actually might stand a chance of being able to ride a MotoGP bike whereas, the F1 is extremely difficult just to get around the track. You have to drive incredibly hard just to keep the downforce, tires and brakes working properly. Most likley scenario would be me just blowing the first corner and if they let me try it again, I'd just keep doing it.

I'd have a better chance of NOT wadding the GP bike... plus how cool would that be??? I'd have the sound of that bike wound out (OK OK, yeah, on the straightaways!!) in my head for the rest of my life... that'd be so cool... :teeth
Great poll!!

Hamster couldn't even drive it fast enough to keep the tires and brakes warm to handle properly. GP bike all the way.

Plus with all the buttons on the steering wheel, I'd probably push the wrong button to get a drink of water and end up making the tires fall off.
