but really, what are we going to do about the overloaded servers?

there was the BARF fundraiser to help out w/ that. they get you the $ yet bro?

if the server shuts down, what would we do in that case? will steve still work on it or do we need to start lookin' for someone?
 
Nexus / Tom is part of the Technology advisory committee.
Not a mod per say, but giving access to check things out. He has vast experience with much bigger VB boards than ours.

Other members are:
Dave (Valgar)
Ken (Dragon)
Nevin Chung

Sorry to shake the house a bit..I was going to post here about this after we meet and have some path of travel.

We have 6.6 K sitting in Hawk Girls bank account that will go directly towards upgrading the site's servers.

However.. the research to use the money right will take a little while. I intend that all of it go directly towards making BARF better functionally.

Adding Steph and Mike was not discussed with me.. they both had been discussed prior as canidates for it. I believe Ken just named them as successors and I am not going to step over that decision to do so.. I believe both are good for the board and are very active in supporting the community. :thumbup

Yes the site is in flux.. we'll have to deal with that for a while until all aspects of running the site can be attained. I would request a little patience from all as this takes place.

I cannot give you an accurate time frame for the happenings at this point, but hope to in the near future and let the board know what is up as well.

I am so slammed with real work it is a little dicey for me right now..I am putting aside as much as possible to get this stuff straightened out much to the dismay of family and work..it just happened to hit me at crunch time at work and at home.

Kid's graduating / home remodel that started Monday and 29 projects on my work project list including 10 Google buildings.. throw in trying to manage the race team and write articles and you have one busy / stressed out Budman.

Again a request for patience and support.
We'll get through this and make things happen right.

These include;
*server upgrades / site performance upgrades and tools.
* Barf Store
* Business alliances as in the barf store and stickers and more..
* other mod changes..that will all be discussed openly prior to any changes.
* so much more too on the list..

I have high hopes to get barf healthy in many aspects and do a better job of serving the moto- community.

I will do my best.

Thanks.. and all of the years of work I have seen you all do is appreciated. I hope the future will be able to reward some of that work appropriately. We have a real good core of great people that are into BARF and believe in what it does for us.. the riding community.
