DAMN! This game is scary and tough and awesome to look at. The bummer is, you can't play deathmatch or coop without a live account or system link. NO SPLIT SCREEN!!!!!:cry I think the graphics might be too much. So that means if you want to system link, each player will have to have the game, the Xbox, and a TV. The living room could get crowded really quick.

I bought the PC version, and hated it as my fookin PC is the suck and I wasn't about to upgrade for a damn game. Never again, not with Xbox 360 coming out. A rented version came my way, and it's a must buy. I was playing Halo2 to compare them, DOOM 3 is graphically the most intense FPS for the XBox, EVER! If it wasn't for the no split screen and somewhat repetetive gameplay, (but what FPS doesn't have that) This game would be almost perfect.

:barf :barf :barf :barf :green out of 5 barfs.

Buy it, play it, love it.

I bought the collectors version, cause it has the Original dooms, and some other stuff that isn't really that interesting. If you want to play the OG dooms on your TV, then the collector's version is a must. If you're not interested, then save $15 and get the regular version.

I loved the pc version, luckily I had just built a new pc so I got to experience it in all it's glory.
Did they carry over the "you-can't-hold-a-gun-and-the-flashlight-at-the-same-time" thing? I thought it made the game scarier, but some people just found it annoying.
Half-Life 2 is comin' out for Xbox also, pick that one up if you couldn't play it on PC.

Yes, they held that over, and I was one of the ones who hated it. I know there is tape somewhere in the facility. COME ON!!! It does make it scarier though. yikes! I think the gernades are a frickin waste of time. More often then not you kill/injure yourself with those worthless things.

I'm excited about H-L 2. I've read nothing but good things about it. After my disappointment with DOOM 3 on the PC, I will never play another PC game. The only thing I use my PC for now is internet, word process, and graphics.

Like I mentioned above, with the release of Xbox 360 & PS3, there's no reason to use the computer for gaming anymore. And when this desktop dies, I will only by laptops from now on. I have a toshiba laptop right now that is still up to spec and working well, so I won't be buying a new computer for a few years. I'll need the money to get the Xbox 360. I figure the price point on that baby will be over $500+. Game On!!

just wait for half life 2 on the xbox its gonna kick some ass on online play let the choas begin

fps should all be keyboard and mouse enabled!!! needs ot be a law. i hate using the controller. certain ps2 fps's utilize kb and mouse.

xbox controller is good for fps, when i first tried it i had my doubts but it pulls through i agree PC is way better to play first shooter but xbox has done it right where i can enjoy playing a fps on a console but on PS2 its so horrible and boring using the controller

Id decided since Halo was THE FPS for Xbox, that it would use the Halo layout for the controler. Very kewl of Id to not let ego in the way of gameplay. Having the same layout as Halo makes for smoother game transitions. I also think the Xbox controller does fine by FPS's except for weapons changing, although using the D pad setup was a great idea, I miss not being able to roll the mouse wheel through the weps selections. BUT, I will never play another PC game. So I am waiting for San Andreas and Half Life 2 for the Xbox. The gaming goodness just doesn't stop, as the games for the Xbox of late have been absolutely stunning.
