Yoshimura Camshaft Installation

I make sure that the quality control department is on top of things.

After cranking it over manually to check the cam timing, the injectors are synched, the airbox reinstalled, the bodywork and tank put back on and the quality control department does the pre-flight check.

The test ride was fucking scary! This bike hits like nothing I've ever ridden before. Absolutely pure, unadulterated power everywhere. I have got to get me one of these! I did want to port the head but Visa sent a hitman out for my customer.
I think he's happy.:thumbup

Nice job, I think you should offer test rides on that bike to people that are thinking about bringing their bikes to you. :teeth

One of the few times where I think a Yosh sticker would look nice. ;)

Did you have to degree the cams? I guess its too late to include this section in your installation guide.....

Does this mean the Yosh cams are straight drop in no degreeing necessary or did you degree the cams? I'm thinking about doing this mod. Did the cam sprokets come with the cams or are they additional $$.........

He hinted at having to degree the cams, and they come with adjustable sprockets. I kinda doubt that they're going to be set perfect from Yosh.

duh...of course he did, he also left out the part where he had to pull the cams back out and change some/all the shims so that the valve clearances were within spec. drop in :laughing yeah right :laughing

I thought it was kinda funny that doing the valves with the new cams required nothing more than sticking a couple feeler gauges into the gaps.

Alan, how long did it take you from valve cover removal to valve cover replacement?
