not sure if I can still guarantee it though!

Apparently, Men's Wearhouse Inc. doesn't like the way its founder looks anymore.

In terse release issued Wednesday, Men's Wearhouse said it has fired the face of the company and its executive chairman, George Zimmer, who appeared in many of its TV commercials with the slogan "You're going to like the way you look. I guarantee it."

because he disagreed with the direction of the company? how many directions can a men's fine clothing store go? switch to clown suits?

Not only was he the president but also a member...:(

So, if he cashes out his 1.8 million shares @ the current $36.82 per share, $66.3 million to use for hookers and blow. :thumbup

I don't feel sorry for him.

Carl's Jr. all over again. This is what happens when you take your company public. Everyone's a slave to the Board.

Saw this. Wonder why, the guy was the face of the company, and that slogan was famous.

this is going to be one of those bad business decisions.....

this is going to be one of those bad business decisions.....

Seems that way. Only looked at this year, MW's stock price is near yearly highs, so it isn't (recent) under-performance, at least.

The board having to postpone a shareholder meeting, and not having a statement/transition ready, looks bad. It would seem like you want transparency and a smooth, quick transition.

their clothes suck......Very marginal quality. I suppose if you only wear a suit once or twice a year they're fine, but for those of us who work in an office, their stuff just doesn't cut it.

Could it be that maybe a greying old dude isn't the image the company wants anymore?

Him and those saggy-ball pilots can go start a support group.
