Yuasa Battery

Sure, just do it outside and post up on Utube.

Always charge a motorcycle battery at 1.5 to 2 amps. Never higher.

Then after an overnight charge (all it takes), disconnect the charger and wait 2 hours before taking a voltage reading. On a new battery it should be 12.8 volts, give or take a bit.

Then install, fire up the bike and check voltage at the battery again while the engine is running at 3-4000 rpm. It should be in the range of 14.4 volts. If all is good, go ride. If you find something may be off, check back here.

Yeah, charge rate of 10% of capacity is typically preferred method (0.1C).

So I guess using the jump selector on the car charger at 125a isn't in the cards... :wtf
Thanks!

Be sure to utter the famous words beforehand,"Hey, watch this!"

So the new batt is in and after charging all night @ 2a it was holding a 13.3v charge after almost 1hr off the charger. I'll call it good. However I'm only seeing 13.7v charge at 5k rpm during a test ride, not as high as I'd expect. Do I need to start investigating the stator and R/R?

Probably the VRR sensing the overcharge and backing off on the charging voltage. Ride it for awhile and then measure your charging voltage. It's likely OK.
