big pete's mini build #2 - '88 Honda ZB50

but wait, who ends up actually finishing a bike project that they start?

Man, everybody is getting rid of their ZBs.

Do any bike projects actually ever end up finished? LOL

Nope, at least not mine, i think when the DESmini 448R is done.... it wont be. I want* too much.

No, it's perfect -- I can just pillage all the bling parts and have the sweet ZB in the Bay Area

Except Paunchy and Greg's are sweeter, but I'll take a Bronze medal :teeth

I didn't really want to sell mine but I'd like some extra cash since I have to change jobs in a few weeks :(

I take credit for starting the chain reaction :later. I posted mine for sale, then mike posted his because he wanted mine, and then Brad mentioned that he was thinking about selling his in my thread.

It's your fault.

and to think, if I had just waited longer and held onto the Dax, we could be working out a Dax for ZB trade right now :laughing

Why are you guys all thinking of selling the ZBs? :cry

I really have to stay away from you guys for the next couple of months... :rofl

***Pete, my apologies if this post is a total thread jack***
and for those that have already PMed me my roller isnt for sale yet and wont be untill Pete's is sold so i wont be responding to anyone yet.

Cant speak for the others but for me the ZB and the APE serve the same purpose, just the APE does it much better. If i do decide to let the ZB go Im keeping the motor as its still one of the fastest ive built. Plus the Daytona dry clutch is now no longer availble and its kind of cool to have something you cant just go out and buy anymore. Daytona parts from back in the day when they were not outsourcing their stuff are pretty cool in my book. I have enough spare seals and a source on new plates for it so it will be around for a while.

I'd like someone to pick up my roller and do something cool with it, but ill leave it up to them to put there own touch on the bike by building or purchasing a motor of their choice. Will see, either way im in no rush with it so ill just sit tight and if the right person with the right offer comes along They will own one of the custom ZBs that started off most others.

Again, not set on the idea but i have been tossing it around mainly for the reasons stated above.

Here's a pic of it with the tank, seat, stock pipe, and Lifan 150 installed.

I can include the new Lifan 150 and Kitaco headlight brackets for half of what I paid for them.
