Build Thread: 999S "4VSBK"

Decided to re-do the exhaust, it's way too loud. And added the airbox back on - was having issues tuning the pods. Installing new quick-disconnect fuel connectors too.

Sneak peak to exhaust:

Also finally added the support brace to my jig:

MOAR! Pieced this together last night, getting them welded up today and will draw out a hanger design to cut out of SS sheet once I have the pieces installed.

Did a lean test with it also, the peg (aftermarket / raised rear sets) is just under 1" away from the ground when the exhaust bend makes contact with the ground. Tire contact patch is very small at that point, not concerned.

Also swapping the rear shock out for an OEM Showa unit, this one is way too stiff for the bike. Then she'll be ready to roll.

If I didn't have my 1290 2-in-1, I would most likely own this + 690 LC4.

Final pics of the build - went back to clip ons, bar end mirrors, 999 front end, and added a front sprocket cover.

I like big butts and I cannot lie- the assess look for bikes just doesn't work for me.

Other than that, it's very impressive.
