EA235 Yes, he's gone

Nice to be able to type when your throat is closed up... bad news.:( I fear the worst for anyone else put in Eric's situation. If someone with such obvious strength and intellect couldn't carry on, how can anyone else?

Thank you for inspiring our hearts and minds this year Eric. Please keep an eye on the rest of us loonies.

Reading his last blog after hearing this news has been the single most sobering moment in my riding career. Rest in peace, Eric.

I am so sad to hear this. I'm glad I have memories of good times years ago when Eric, Ginny and I started racing 600's and were pushing each other to go faster.

WHy always the good ones!?

You made a strong community even stronger and brought together so many different people. You taught us to take nothing for granted and cherish every moment. Your legacy will live on.

My thoughts and sincerest condolences to his family and many, many friends here. Be in peace, Eric.

Eric rest in peace my friend.
Your memory, generosity and passion for helping your fellow riders will live on in hearts forever.

I just heard and I am speechless. I really don't know what to say beyond "rest well friend, I hope you found the peace and the rest you well deserve. Your strengths have been an inspiration too far more people than you could ever had imagined. "

You will be in our thoughts and prayers

Why am I afraid that what I am reading into the responses is what happened :(

All of us that were so blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time basking in the friendship, and love-for-life that Eric radiated, have the power to keep his spirit alive and well for a long time to come.

Doing so by celebrating all the shining moments in his life, and the way he touched so many others (myself included) in a positive way. Doing so by not going silent in mourning (despite the shock and loss), but instead openly sharing and celebrating those memories with each other.

I truly believe that's how Eric wants it to be!

RIP my friend. :rip You will live on ............

RIP Eric, you'll be sorely missed. God bless you, your family, and your countless friends in the motorcycling community. This is a sad day indeed.

Eric, I love you man...

Eric needed to see himself out of his situation, probably happened yesterday. :( but he felt as if he died April 26th, 2009.

from Eric,

"I am truly grateful for the effort that everyone has put forth on my behalf; know that there is nothing more anyone could have done. There is nothing anyone could have done to keep me from this path; those of you who know me best know that once I make up my mind to do something that's it."

"It has been said that "what we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal." Hopefully through my actions I will live on in your memories and hearts."

there is more, but I am barely able to type this message as it is...
I and the Mods for that matter thought it important to post something factual so that people are informed.

Eddy :(

Eric, please check in on us from time to time.............
