EBR closes, files for receivership

I thought I read that HERO bought the 300cc plans for $2.5M as well. A far cry from the original $30M they contracted for (iirc)

Not sure what number resurrection we're on here but the interview is promising!. Belfer seems no-nonsense, ready to support EB rather than serve ulterior motives.

"He’s never had anybody watching his back. Harley-Davidson owned him. Hero owned him. I’m not the man who owns him. Erik Buell owns Erik Buell, and I’m here to watch his back so that he can do what he does best, which is to design the best motorcycles on this planet. I’m here to make sure he can do that without having to worry about all the ins and outs of business; that’s what I’m here for. And I think that’s going to make for a very powerful partnership going forward."

He's also not gonna let EB blow all the money at the track on bikes that aren't competitive.

Here's Foolishly optimistic! :ride

If they could focus on building something akin to the XB line, they'd be great.

With nicer paint and fit and finish. If you're going to make a niche bike, make it nice. I like the XB's, they just feel kinda cheap. Get rid of the cheapness factor and you might have something.
