Insurrection racing!!!

Crashed to hell in my PILOT suit. I'm so bummed. It's my favorite suit, EVER! The suit held up very, very well, but could use some cosmetic restoration. Can Carrie restore it?

Sorry to hear that you crashed, but it happens. I'm glad we got you out of that old suit and into something safer!

As far as restoration, we can go two routes depending on your budget and amount of crash damage.

The first route is very straight forward. Carrie can repair anything that occurred in the crash (i.e. bias leather tears, top stitch restitching, external armor replacement, etc.). If patches were damaged in the crash, we can order them up from PILOT and stitch new ones on.

If crash damage is more extensive, we can go a second route. We can get the suit to PILOT for full panel replacement. So, if you totally trashed an arm or a leg, we can just put a new arm or leg on the suit...it'll look just like when you got it out of the box...at least that new arm or leg, that is!!!

With those two routes put out there, I must say that most go for the first, as the crash damage is rarely bad enough to necessitate a completely new portion of the suit. Yet, sometimes we fix something using the first route during the season so that you don't miss out on track time, and then go the second route in the off-season, so that your suit is good as new for the season to come!!!

PILOT suits do exactly what they're intended to do--they save your ass when something goes wrong! Double and triple stitched seams don't blow, they hold up and save your ass!!! :thumbup

Here's a great video (check out 2:10 to 4:10!) of the last lap of the 2011 Daytona 200! Man, check out PILOT riders DiSalvo, West, and Westby fly. It should have been a podium sweep for PILOT, but the unfortunate 170mph crash for Westby made it such that the podium sweep didn't materialize. Yet, with PILOT's "Advanced Seam System"--everything is double and triple stitched!!!--Westby walked away and felt well enough to get confrontational in the pits!!! That's PILOT protection!!!

Seriously anybody contemplating getting some custom fitted leathers please do yourself a favor and go see Wade and Carrie their service is absolutely amazing and the leathers speak for themselves.

When Insurrection fits the suit, here's what custom fit looks like!

I love my new Pilot suit! The fit is great, it breathes awesome, which is very important on those hot Thill days, and I lack words to describe how happy I am with the design look and finish. Carrie did my measurements and the thing fits like a glove :cool I think I need to talk to Insurrection Racing about their gloves next to complete the look :)

Alan--What's cool about PILOT is that their dark color leathers are treated to reduce heat transfer in hot, sunny conditions. Further, every suit comes with an ultra-vented frontal surface, which provides maximum cooling effect while riding. What's cool, no pun intended...LOL..., about this, is that a customer of ours can get the color that they'd like, without worrying too much about the heat!!! :party

The SaferMoto suit ships out Mon. as well!!! :party :party :party Everyone should come check out Alan's suit at the next AFM round and talk to Alan about the SaferMoto / Insurrection Racing partnership! Be safe out there with SaferMoto products, and look sharp too!!!

I tied on a pilot suit at the last race weekend and was impressed. If you look at the pictures they have many leather stretch panels in the back and much kevlar around the arms in the front, the end result being that a brand new suit that fit me well was way more comfortable than my well worn in leathers... I'm ordering a set!

At MotoGP/Laguna this year, I came across the Pilot booth. Curious, I began to look around and see what styles and quality of the leather they had. Hanging up on the racks were many various suits of the supported AMA racers, and what the suit looked like after a crash. There were at least 5-6 of these "tested" suits. Each one was in great shape, appear to have held their structure, and little to no stitching separation. Believe me, some of these suits were WELL beat up!

Their suit quality, customer support and location for Northern California cannot be beat. I believe an investment into one of their suits to be worthwhile, and I am anxious to get one myself! Good job!!

Those suits do look great! And it sounds like they perform as well as they look. So, I think I just found my next suit. Now to pick out a design... With all of the great looking choices, this may take a while... :)

Blaine Bessler's new PILOT suit...looks good Blaine!!! Believe it or not, Blaine and I spent a lot of time on this sucker, as we went from lots of color to just a bit of color to the finished black and white suit art, which you see below. When all was said and done, Blaine's suit turned out great! :thumbup

Insurrection Racing Glove

Step one: replace old gloves on Saturday with new Insurrection gloves.
Step two: enjoy the shiny new glove and how well they fit
Step three: enter race
Step four: cut through pack and into 3rd place
Step five: crash said glove into T9
Step six: hold bike so it does not flip (note: this keeps your hand on ground)
Step seven: finish sliding and take inventory
Step eight: realize you still have all your fingers and no damage to hand (priceless)

Thanks for making a great glove. My hand was sandwiched between the bar and ground until the bar got ripped off the bike. Proof that the glove works, I am typing this myself.:teeth
