Would a "last minute" trackday work?

:laughing I like the way you think.:cool

Dave Moss called me today...he WILL be there. Also, he is willing to stop by the farm on way up/ back for anyone who needs special stuff.

I believe that 4the Riders is gonna be there too?

I'm gonna stick my neck out and also say that Dan will allow roaming within the 2 groups.

Good to hear. :thumbup He will be getting some of my $$.

The sign-ups were flying in on Wednesday and I thought for sure we'd sell out, but things are calming down now and a few riders have had to back out, so I think we're looking at around 60 riders total. Two groups of 30. That should be about perfect. If anyone else wants to ride Thunderhill Saturday (tomorrow) on a nice warm day, for $160 cash, send me your email address and I'll add you to the list (which is posted on the very first thread of this forum).

I will be there Saturday. Leaving 4am to be there for 7am. Should be a perfect day, great group sizes, and perfect weather! Oh man - how great is this going to be.

What a great way to start the year!

I'm sweating my balls off! Sixty three lucky riders out here today enjoying the sun. light wind but totally rideable. a lot of smiling face

hope everyone made it home safe. what a way to start the season! gary, thanks for the tow, even though it was only on the out lap that is! i just cant seem to break that 2:20 barrier! maybe next time.

Great day Dan, thanks again for putting this together.

I'm finally back home... it was really nice meeting you guys, even if I was probably the slowest rider of the day :D

Not a fair comparison Snyf...most guys in norcal have been on that track multi dozens of times, some hundreds. That's a big advantage. I'm sure you did fine.

Just to go to an impromptu track day shows you've got spirit and moxie. :thumbup

Hope you bought some pics of your day....if not you can always go to www.4theriders.com and check em out at your leisure.:ride

yeah I guess that 2'28"8 on the last session is not that bad for a street bike with street tires and a rider that don't know the track... but I was still one of the slowest :teeth

I heard about 4theriders, I can't wait to see the pictures!

and yes, thanks a lot Dan, it was a great day :)

ahahahahahaha!! that's hilarious!! hahahahahaahaha!!!

man, today was EPIC! straight up TSHIRT weather! or in toe's case, it was TANK TOP weather!

pics are batching out now. online within an hour or so. can anyone guess what's going on in the cover shot? hahahaha! :rofl :wow :shocker:rofl

thanks everyone!

Thanks for a killer day Dan!!! Me and the rest of the Cycleheads team had a F**K'n blast!! Everyone was pretty well behaved and only 1 crash. very cool!

Glad you guys had a good time. I'm tired. The odometer isn't accurate with the gearing change but I'm sure I ran 200+ miles. Also ran a new personal best which just goes to show you how nice the weather was and how quiet the track was in the afternoon.

Thanks again to everyone that came out and made this crazy idea a reality.

Epic day Dan, thanks for putting this on, and thanks Joe/co for taking some awesome pics. The 30 minute sessions worked out perfect. I think I'll have to try this backwards track stuff sometime :thumbup

Pictures are up. Looks like you guys had a great day out there!

So....when's the next open day?

Thanks for the great day, Dan. It was my first time at Thill and I had a blast. Can't wait for the next day!
