I rode almost every day through my 20s and early 30's, until a freeway scare convinced me to park them for a while. I had gone through about a dozen bikes, and eventually sold the last two as they were just rotting away. About 6-7 years passed and I wanted to get back into riding. I thought I wanted a Fat Boy and play the cruiser type. What I could afford was a Shadow Sabre - and what a disappointing ride. I only put 8k miles on it in 6 years. Getting spanked by a Volvo wagon convinced me I needed something with some pep, so I traded for 'super' sport touring bike in 2014, and that practically became my daily driver, except for rain and ice.

But then the pandemic hit and we were all locked up. The bike sat since that day until last September labor day, and that was just to test out the valve reshim, and the last day I rode since. Two things are holding me back - right before the pandemic, I was nursing a slowly leaking plugged tire. I intend to put a patch on that. And, since the pandemic, I bought a boat that is in the way of getting the bike out of the stable.

Interesting thread. I think there are a lot of members here who haven’t ridden in a while but still enjoy staying in the discussion so to speak.
Personally I rode to work last Friday.
I normally ride twice a month or so.

It was in December so probably 5 weeks. I don't expect a lot of seat time in winter and this one has me massively tasked on other stuff so AOK. Get that shit under control and then ride.

I rode yesterday to do some errands on the Super Cub, around town and traffic tis a great bike. I try to ride all my bikes but it's been tough

I rode the zapper up and down the street.

Yea, something like that for me.

My rides tend to be the few days I go into town, and I haven't done that since before Christmas.

I had planned to take it into the dealer week ago Tuesday. It needs it's annual, and I have some stuff to install on it. But that was the first day of our notorious wind storm we've been having down here. That day was 30+ solid winds, 60 MPH gusts, and it was raining.

I actually had the bike out of the garage, but decided against it and put it back in.

So I called in and rescheduled for this Friday. The wind has been blowing for over a week.

I rode last Thursday, I might ride tomorrow. If I can get an hour or two I can buzz the Berkeley hills.
I don't ride as much as I used to, but I was a moto commuter so 17 years I was riding rain or shine.
Looking forward to track season.

I used to ride daily, or nearly so. Then several things got in the way of riding, like my convertible, my wife’s Alzheimer’s, etc. I gave my beloved ST to CJ and planned on getting another bike after my wife died but a stroke put an end to riding. I haven’t ridden a n a number of years.

Hmm, 2 weeks ago? These days I just use it to get around when my wife needs the car. And the CB500X is that kind of moto. Sometimes I miss those adventures on the DL650, but not enough to actually do them. Yay for my CTek battery maintainer. Getting old sucks.

I did a few parking lot hot laps on most of the woodland range's school bikes, (15) or so tiddlers, yesterday.
but that was mostly just to evaluate opperable condition as it was a service day...
oil levels, tire pressures, levers, etc.
my own bikes are a little neglected, but I did pull the wheels off of one of them for new tires

I don't ride everyday but when it is The Day, it's all of it.

Should have been yesterday. It will be next week, dry weather permitting.

My riding has shifted to very long rides over the last few years. All day the norm. This time of year makes those distances difficult due to weather and shorter daylight hours.

It's been a couple weeks and normally I ride several times a week riding my local loop and a couple hundred miler every week or two, but I have a pinched nerve and screwed up shoulder from pickleball
