When was the last time you rode a motorcycle?

It's been over two years for me, now. Multiple injuries and surgeries have left me in chronic pain and barely able to even drive a car... hell, some days I can barely walk. I've been riding my entire life (Dad was a rider) and motorcycles have been a constant passion of mine. I've got a few old bikes that I love, strategically placed around so that I can see them during my daily activities. At this point they all need batteries and carb overhauls, which is sad... but I can't bring myself to sell them, I just enjoy living amongst them. Hopefully, at some point, I'll be able to get them fired-up and take some short rides around the block, maybe, although right now it would be difficult to even mount-up. I've pretty much given up on doing any significant riding again. I fear that I would ride somewhere and not be able to ride back (this almost happened on my last ride.) Time/age is a real bitch... but at least I still look good! :cool

Last night I rode two up on my touring motorcycle. Later today I'll ride my solo moto around city streets to get various places. I usually choose the moto over a car but sometimes it's more convenient to drive.

A little over 6 weeks ago after a 2 year layoff.

Trying to ride more in the coming year.

I typically ride my 60 mi. rt commute 2-3X pr week.

It's 29 degrees outside right now. I haven't ridden for at least a month. The repair work on my KTM is supposed to be finished any day now, so I'll have to ride it home from the KTM dealer.

When the weather is above 50 degrees I get out once a week pretty regularly.

Also a commuter but from one side of SF to the other, so 7-9 miles each way depending on if I want to take side roads through the Presidio.

And even if I somehow started working from home (not possible) I still ride pretty much everywhere I go so I never worry about parking, so the answer would be at least a few times a week no matter what

Dirt ride last Saturday. Does that count?
Will get a street ride in this coming Saturday.
And more dirt on Monday.

Most times I moto-commute from Turlock to Modesto (28 ish miles round trip). Currently driving because I'm getting the forks on the FZ new seals so I can go back to riding.

I ride almost every day - to work (about 1.5 miles each way), and to the store or for errands. In total maybe 30 miles per week. It has been years since I rode over 100 miles for pleasure. Last summer I rode to Arcata to meet a friend, but I didn't get much pleasure from 1/101 on a holiday weekend.
I used to do at least one 800+ mile trip every month of decent weather, just for the fun of it. But there have been any number of factors that put an end to it: A T-bone from a redlight runner that broke my leg, getting married (a big factor for many!), increasingly painful arthritis, , smaller income and rising prices for gas/hotels, and lastly just the fact that I have done most of the great motorcycle roads in Northern California many times over, and I have lost the thrill of discovery. Also, my leathers are getting old and the zipper pulls keep breaking lol
However, my bike is still in good running order (though the bodywork has taken a few hits), and I could go for a real ride anytime I wanted. ..

This AM. I commute on one of my bikes from MH to Cupertino everyday. I look forward to going to work and don’t worry about the traffic on the way back. Can’t spend enough time on them either traveling, commuting or track days.

Mid October. My bike is in storage at the Harley dealership for the winter. I get free storage if I spend at least $900 for them to do something to it, so I am having them do a Stage 2, Kraus Moto Risers and Titanium Bars, an SPC Concepts exhaust, and a few other things to my 2024 RG. Can't wait to get it back!

Today after work.Been awhile, about 2 months,so had a nice quick ride down river rd about 70 miles after work.
