When was the last time you rode a motorcycle?

I ride most days. Sometimes more than one motorcycle. In the past 6 months the longest I've gone without riding is probably 4 consecutive days.

Today after work.Been awhile, about 2 months,so had a nice quick ride down river rd about 70 miles after work.
It would be awesome if you began posting pictures of your bike's mirror at cool Monterey locations in memory of John.
You seem like the perfect person to take that ball and run with it.
Just sayin'.

Call me.
I enjoy riding with you.

Answer to OP.
This morning.
Will do once it warms up and I change the oil.

I'm a pussy when it comes to cold even though I have a heated vest that plugs into my F800ST and an old Aerostich!

I bought them for the times a million years ago before I retired to commute and the once in a great while commute to the Tahoe area.

Twice a week to work (bicycle the other days), but that barely warms the bike up...

On Sunday I rode up to Middletown by way of Napa and Calistoga, then back down via Berryessa. Almost 200 miles of fun.

Thank God I don't live in somewhere cold like...basically anywhere east of Nevada.

the moon is gonna rise at 8:15 pm, and I’m trying to figure out what aligned planets I’m looking at now … sunrise is 7:12 am, tomorrow. :ride
Good for you gettin' out there and keeping the faith as an old man! I'm too cozy in my velvet rut.

Trivia - Did you know that's Thomas Kinkade on his Harley in the painting?

I last rode about a month ago, and it was just around town. When I first moved to Scotts Valley in 2018, did quite a few rides on the many great roads over here, but all during the week. As my riding buddies have stopped riding, and new adventures are almost non-existant, I may be near the end myself. Too many morons out there, and I know way too many riders who have gotten hurt, or worse.

I thought the majority of members here were hardcore, ride-everyday types. Surprised that doesn't seem to be the case.

Most of us used to be.

I guess we are "has beens" but most of us still have a moto in the garage.

Any idea on the average age here these daze? 70 in May...and riding less than I used to but still 6 motos in garage and 2 inna house.
I think it has edged up.

There used to be a ton of first bike threads in General, not so much anymore.

I'm 68.

A quick google says the average ages of moto riders are 48 for men and 39 for women.

Don’t know about BARF specifically, but it’s probably following the national trend, more or less. That looks like: 32 in 1990, 40 in 2009 and 47 now. Fewer young riders starting, existing riders riding longer.

70 mile round trip daily commute. On the VFR I purchased from a fellow BARFer. That being said, I haven't gone on a fun ride, like a Berryessa GP or a Skaggs-Springs Rd. since summer of 2023. I'll keep threatening to go on a fun ride though.

I recently turned 73. I no longer ride, though, due to the stroke I suffered nearly 3 years ago.

70 here. Last really long ride was a couple of years ago. Long being defined by coast-to-coast and back. ;)

Riding shifted to pleasure cruises after retirement. Commutes were very short and hence the motorcycle was a vehicle that could be garaged as a third vehicle, parked on the sidewalk at work and saved a little $$$ on gas.

Riding in these parts is great for all-day loops or destination rides. Not hard core, more Mild Hog.
