What will be your next motorcycle?

I'm selling almost all my bikes as we're leaving the country this year. I have half an idea to look out for a Beta Xtrainer for playing around on once I land. I've very little desire to do any road riding back in the UK.
Barf works across the pond, Joe.
Please keep us up on your projects.
Your threads are all Barf gold.

Thanks mate - I hope to be back over periodically as we'll miss the heck out of California. Alas the projects will have to take a hiatus for a bit as space is harder to come by.

I've had a recent change of heart.
Earlier in this thread I mentioned possibly pulling the trigger on a new big V-Strom.
I'm fortunate enough to have a garage full of bikes. My beloved 2006 GSXR 1000 had been a wonderful track tool until I grenaded the clutch. The catastrophic clutch failure was so complete it warranted my procrastinating self to allow it to devolve toward the back of the garage, feeling left out and forgotten about.
I couldn't take it anymore and finally pulled it out to the daylight to resolve the stubborn clutch woes. While in the process of that, I rekindled my love affair with that bike.
The project went from fixing the clutch, maybe washing it and selling it.
Not anymore. I'm outta control.
All body parts and panels are now at the paint shop getting some nice coats of it's new custom cobalt blue and charcoal gray paint scheme.
I'm going through the entire bike with an eye toward perfection. Yes, there will be a thread in the "Who let the smoke out" forum.
One of my favorite "old" bikes is rapidly becoming my next "new" bike.

If you were to go buy your next bike today or tomorrow, what would it be?

Mine would be the F450GS. Alas, it won't happen tomorrow. Hopefully they release it soon!
Looking for instructor around Santa rosa

I have absolutely no clue. I haven't really felt the urge to buy another bike.

I've swapped bikes with friends before though just to experience other bikes.

I haven't bought a new bike since 2012 (Multistrada PP). I look, consider, and then just can't get excited enough to pull the trigger. It seems the bikes get more powerful but also heavier. They lose that sense of playfulness. Until now. Based on the (stellar) reviews so far I'm seriously considering the 2025 Panigale V2S. Very seriously.

10 years makes a different. The 2021 and up Multi PP's are amazing machines...the electronics alone make for a fun trackday. I had a blast on Ducati's when we used their fleet.

The original PP is something like 60-80 pounds lighter than the new v4 (depending on the model). I'll take light and V2 torque any day. I've ridden both, they're really different bikes. The new ones are much closer to a GS, the original twins more pure sport.

Still waiting here :Popcorn

Need the serious canyon carver so I can show the kids the OG can still get it on.

Truth. My 2015 V2 was a much more nimble twisty weapon. I took 40 lbs of it and still have not found much on lightening my ‘22 PP.

Hence the need for another weapon.

Oh boy. New or used? How extreme of a riding position? Budget or "this is gonna be the last CC...make it count"?

As noted above somewhere.

KTM 990R. A little more of a SBK scalpel.
Likely my last bike because I think the PP can carry me forward. Maybe at 80 I will need to adjust but time will tell.

If this will be a twisty only weapon (riding sub 200 mile days), consider getting a sportbike and adding a clip on riser and slightly lowered foot pegs. Any one of the late gen superbike (especially the S1KRR) will blow your mind.

OR- Wait to see what Suzuki has in store for their new sportbike line up. Rumor is that they are revamping their GSX-R line. One can only hope they update their GSXR750 with a bit more modern styling and features (quick shifter, cruise control).

Got this Monday. A Lightning Spark, pre production. Prolly trade up to a Strike in a year. Or maybe a LS218. Or maybe a WTF.

If it was my money, I’d take a look ant and ride the new V2 Panagale. Power is down from the previous V2 in the 120s stock. Ducati is soooo much better these days. Alternate would be a used Daytona 765 with some, uh, mods. There is a LOT of hidden power in that thing. The street triple is also in that same category if you don’t mind the windblast (800 lb Gorilla…) of a naked. Or, as a true “sending-it” artist, the Suzuki GSX-R750. They just won’t stop selling that thing and I will buy one soon….
