Cornerstone is a rad venue

Been to several Nashville venues this week like the Station Inn, 3rd and Lindsley, Brooklyn Bowl, Love and Exile, Basement East, the Exit/Inn and couple less famous places. Last night was Clover County, Boy Golden, Morgan Wade, Aaron Lee Tasjan and others. Tonite will be Parker Milsap w/ the rest TBD. Been a music filled week. So fun.

While I was soaking in Buckeye Hot Springs a couple weeks ago I met a guy from Santa Cruz (Darrow) who is organizing the "First Annual" PorchFest in Santa Cruz.
It's a free One Day Event, October 3'rd from noon to 6pm with over 50 local bands/musicians, on assorted porches in downtown Santa Cruz.

Apparently these have been going on in other cities around the country and Darrow wanted to do it in Santa Cruz.

Porchfest started in Ithaca, New York in 2007 and has since spread to hundreds of neighborhoods across the country. The idea is simple and wholesome: neighbors with porches host neighbors with instruments, and the rest of us walk between them.

Santa Cruz Porchfest is a free, all-ages, one-day community music event that turns downtown porches into stages. Wander the neighborhood, follow the sound, and discover your new favorite band on a neighbor’s front steps.

Have you checked out "Skinny Dennis" yet? We saw "Asleep at the Wheel" there a while ago.

No Skinny Dennis’ yet, see that it is just down the block from the daytime showcase on Gallatin, will keep in mind if there is a next time tho. Yesterday was Hunter Flynn, Lily Hiatt, Parker and then Steve Poltz who had sit-ins like Jaimee Harris, Jim Lauderdale and Mary Gauthier. A good time was had in Music City because good venues, the best stage hands, sound/light folks and the finest of instruments abound. Haunted the high end guitar shops there which is a favorite pastime anywhere for us.
