So is there a ride being planned for Sunday? Lets get out there. I have some suspension that needs to be put through its paces.

Ok, now with that said where should we ride and when?

thanks
B

I'm in the same boat and ready to ride as well. No strong feelings on where as long as we ride!

Sunday 3/15

Hey, Brad! It appears (from the other thread :p) there's some interest on a ride this Sunday 3/15.

Should we give the Livermore Bux to Patterson a go? I can carry the extra gallon of fuel for anyone that needs it.

Post up people. :ride

I'm in. Hopefully the bike won't die on me (I need to install the new piston + cylinder)

I'd love to but my bike still isn't legal and I don't have the parts to even make it a roller.

Just run it with the stock ZB stuff. All you need is a tail light and some signals, correct?

Tail light, signals, and a CHP inspection to actually make it legal. Shit, I forgot about that.

:shoots self:

I have a R6 taillight you can have. Find some cheap DOT approved signals and you should be good to go.

I don't think i can get the CHP inspection done in the next 3 days though.

Take the plate off your Husky and remove all the Honda stickers off the Zb :shhh

:rofl

How hard would it be to cobble the R6 light onto the ZB, you think?

It shouldn't be hard at all. I think there's 3 wires coming out the back (ground, brake, running light). Then you'll just need to make a simple bracket to mount it to the bike

Ok, cool. We'll have to get together again so I can get it from you and get to work. The good news is my house is almost finished, so I might have some semblance of "time to work on mini bikes" in the not-so-distant future.

Brad, for sure!

Mike V, I still have those blinkers and if you need help with a bracket I could TIG something (not pretty) up for you in a jiffy.

CHP inspection

Is this just a vin verification? I know a place in Antioch that does this it if that is the case for DMV. No need to wait for CHP guy to be in the office 1 out of the 5 days he happens to be at work.

There is a parade in Dublin this weekend for St. Paddy's. We should crash it with some ad-hock Shrinners action. Maybe talk Brad into bustin' an old stunt routine for the crowd!

No, I had a VIN verification form completed already. I'm actually not sure WHAT it's for. A few weeks after I got the plate from DMV, the registration paperwork all came back in the mail with this typed on the front page:

"REFERRED TO CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL FOR INSPECTION. IF THIS IS A REVIVED TOTAL LOSS VEHICLE, A CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL INSPECTION CERTIFICATE (CHP97C) IS REQUIRED BEFORE THE APPLICATION CAN BE COMPLETED"

I don't get it though, it wasn't a salvaged bike.
