I'm sick and tired of it. This evening my neighbor looked me in the eye and swore it isn't his dog pissing on my bike. :wtf This, as the little bastard has his leg proudly raised and letting out a stream on my just rinsed wheel.

WAR!! I have been mildly tolerant, dogs being dogs and all but a few weeks back I stupidly grabbed my cover in the wrong place and the puddle of dog piss splattered on me.

I have repeatedly talked to my neighbors, funny thing, any one that owns a dog can swear to God, on their mother's grave that their dog DOES NOT PISS SHIT or breathe. They swear it.

OK I can't take it any more I have just ordered parts for an electric fence, Parts should arrive by Friday. Front and rear rim will be wired.

Love the idea. But as satisfying as the yelp and look of confusion on the dogs face would be, I'd worry about sensitive electronics on the bike being fried. Might I suggest you look into the quick set up fences for temporary use?

Something along the lines of this, or this. Or you could look at the sprays on this page. Just a thought.
 
HH, I thought leash laws were pretty universal these days. Can't you just call the animal protective services (or whatever it's called) and report off-leash dogs?
Here in Eugene, we aren't permitted to let our dogs run free.

The only town I can think of in Marin County which might possibly not have a leash law is Bolinas.

Look in his eye and swear you're not pissing on his leg. Make sure you've had plenty of Sunny D.

That's pretty messed up. It's unbelievable how lame and irresponsible some dog owners are. If I caught some dog relieving itself on my bike or other property, you can bet I'd find the damn owner and kick him square in the nuts.

So, any tips for cleaning dog piss off your wheels? :teeth
 
:laughing You're not going to stop them from pissing on your bike through shock treatment... A dog's piss has chemicals that linger on it that "marks" the place as a communal message board for other dogs. You can get a cleaner that breaks it down at a pet store.

I would imagine that dog piss is a good conductor of electricity. If he's not careful he's going to get a shocked weenie!
 
you need to get a dirty sock from the dog's owner then rub it all over the wheels. they won't piss on the alpha dog's scent.
 
You know what does work? Subsonic .22 LR rounds out of a 20 inch barrel. Very quiet, and very effective against dogs.
 
I scrubbed the area around the bike with pine sol then sprayed it with anti piss stuff, washed the cover with detergent and sprayed it with anti piss stuff.

Result: front and rear wheel, tire, caliper, and cover coated in dog piss.

Can't wait for my parts!!!
