MOTOGP 2012 Round 1 : Doha, Qatar. 4/5-4/8 2012

Last year Jorge's race time was 42'42.004, this year he was two seconds slower, despite having the same average speed over the whole race both years and having an average top speed 12kmh higher this year.

Nice parade laps Ben. He needs to step it up this year or he will be losing his factory ride.

I'd hate to be the Honda mechanics in Stoners garage.

That's what the commentators said as well, but really? To finish 3rd in the first race of the year and 3 seconds behind the leader doesn't seem like such a bad result.

Big surprise in the fast lap by rider. Damn, Dovi really was slowing Crutchlow down.

Don't understand how to make the columns, something about a tab or something.

Running a guy off track is racing? You must be a huge Rossi fan.

Meh... I call that a race incident. While Marques did kinda take his line, Luthi also went in WAY deeper than he had been. On top of that he still could have used the the strip like the big boys.

For stoner, anything less than a win is a disaster. As it should be, and that's why he's a two time champ

Kinda?:wtf If a guy "kinda" brushed against your wife the way he "kinda" took his line, that guy would be looking at a life sentence.

Gotta replay? I dont think it was as bad as you're making it sound. I only saw it once, so I could be wrong. But from what I saw it was nothing crazy and should have been expected.

Spies sourcing the problem to his chassis. It was the same one he had crashed on twice and that he didn't have a back up one.

Arm pump for Stoner. No complaint about tires or chatter. That's good on one hand, bad on the other, and really awful as a pun.

Great race? Seriously?

Motogp isn't about swapping paint right now, it's about tension. Seeing which one of the unbelievably skilled guys at the front is going to make one mistake or encounter a single problem that would be nothing in WSBK, BSB, AMA or any other racing series, but will turn into a disaster because of the level of the competition. It's watching gods duel on a knifes edge.

Super exciting for me. Blood was pumping the whole race.

Based upon the significant drop in lap times, and not saying it's the tires or chatter, it wouldn't make sense to lie.:dunno

Sure it would. Anything to make Jorge wonder whether he actually beat stoner and the Honda is a good thing.

Saying its chatter or tires gives Jorge a brighter outlook for the season, instantly pawning it off as an aberration gives doubt.

Once I awhile it would be nice not to hear an instant excuse from stoner. And the guy wonders why with all his talent people don't warm up to him.

Btw CRT didn't do so bad at all, especially for this track. Colin was only a few seconds behind Ben

Spoken like a true Rossi fan.:laughing

Personally, I think false hope might be better, then when he crushes him the next races, the mental damage will be more. Chattering would make more sense as an excuse.

Really? How's Rossi's shoulder? Still at 75.389%?

I'm always curious, what's the difference between an excuse and a reason?
