MOTOGP 2012 Round 1 : Doha, Qatar. 4/5-4/8 2012

Ducati: If I leave is not worth ... tonight!

...The suitcase on the bed is that of a long journey, and you've found dir nothing without courage, with the wounded pride of who then rebelled, but when you get angry you are even more beautiful.

the Duke ... mah!

this is the translation I found-

Ducati: if you leave it to me is not true ... this evening! ... The suitcase on the bed, and that of a long journey, and thou without say nothing you have found the courage, with the wounded pride of those who then rebels, but when t'get angry yet more beautiful. The Duke ... yuck!

Those are also good explanations for tire wear being a factor: new tire construction and not have any experience on tires after 15+ laps.

.

I was thinking the same but... His times fell right off while others didn't. Nor did I see the bike moving around all over. Arm pump is pretty instant

I'm so lost even with the translation and photo:laughing

very nice!

Do we have another Melandri vs Ducati case?

Is it crazy to even think that? Guy goes from competing every round to just trying to lap around the track. There has got to be a breaking point.

we just saw it.

"We ran out of hope last season. When Barbera passed me, with a hard move that pushed me into the runoff area, he had only one objective: getting in front of me. The actually race position didn't matter. I even thought about pulling into the pits and finishing my race there, but I kept going only out of respect for my team members, and to collect useful data." The GP12 isn't to his liking, as was the case with the 11 and 11.1, and for the first time he even distanced himself from its design. "Ducati didn't follow the direction that I indicated, but I'm not an engineer and I can't solve every problem."

"The problems with the bike haven't changed, and neither have my requests. It's unrideable, and it doesn't make much difference what track we are on. I'm not able to enter the corners hard on the brakes, and we can't hope the situation will change completely with the new Bridgestone tires. These aren't problems you can solve with setup alone."

Rossi should bounce. I'm sure Yamaha or Honda would support a 3rd bike for him.

"We can not blame Vale 'cause is not the Ducati. It 's true, Nicky went better, but it was still at 20 seconds behind Lorenzo. NOT A MOTORCYCLE COMPETITIVE. Surely he is not good. You see, he lacks the will to fight, but the Ducati is wrong!"

Can he move mid season?? What about his contract?? I am thinkin he has to stick it out for his contract. It's a long season to be talking like this after race 1.

Melandri managed to and missed the last few races didn't he? I bet Rossi is wishing the rumor of that of Coke Cola funding his team with a Honda was true right about now.

Rossi to leave Ducati? As much as I would like for him to stick it out and make a good bike, I just dont see it happening. The two seem to be working in two different languages. I can see Rossi staying and I can see him leaving. The guy is about as rich as a OIL company, so paying off his contract obligations isn't an issue. Getting Yam or Honda to give him a bike may be. In terms of sponsorship... the fact that this article was printed is a pure invite to start the bidding.

You gotta wonder how much "Ducati tradition" is screwing up the bike.

Except that Stoner said the arm pump began on lap 3.

I'm trying to track down the Burgess interview on the BBC before the race. From that, it sounds like Burgess has accepted that Rossi is done.

something along the lines that a year of the ducati and off pace dulled his senses...

"At some point in your life, you're not as good as you once were"

then

"I'm not saying he's not, but at some point we've got to give him a bike to let him show than he can get back up there"

its well known that burgess has not liked the ducati experiance, that they work counter to what he thinks, and he isnt liked in turn by them either...

I wish rossi never left yamaha...

Straight up boring ass race. I'm on lap 12 and my second beer. Is anyone genuinely thrilled? Bring back the smokes please. A decade has gone by and nothing yet has compared.
