MOTOGP 2012 Round 1 : Doha, Qatar. 4/5-4/8 2012

Exactly

I was like bro won like three races in on the duc in 2003

That's not right. Capirossi won only 1 race on the duc in 2003. He won in Catalunya that year.

The most wins he had in one season on the ducati is in 2006. He won 3 races that year. He was tied with Nicky Hayden in points (99 points) before the Catalunya race where he got injured from the massive pile up in turn 1.

thats not what I said lol what I was saying was, he won like three races into the season(it was actually six. he podiumed the first race tho)

Capirex did fantastic on it, he would have won the championship in '06 if not for the unfortunate accident at Jerez(?), a lot of the sat bikes did very well too.

Not the satellite Ducatis. Capirossi was the only Duc that was good. Gibernau never podiumed on the Duc. His best result were a handful of 4th places.

He never won three races in that season. He had 1 win. He did have a total of six podiums including that 1 win.

Coffee + Keyboard on that one! hahaha

does CRT give teams like KTM and Mahindra an avenue to get into GP or just to be a back marker?

Michael Czycz had a pretty interesting article, I am not sure if it was posted in this thread... I'll dig up a link and edit.

EDIT; Found it!http://club.motoczysz.com/?p=768 A pretty interesting read. I still wish the C1 made it's way onto the grid, I watched "The Birth of a Racer" on Discovery HD Theatre back in 07/08 and was blown away by the raditude of it all without knowing much about MotoGP or motorcycles in general at the time (not that I do now either).

new Noyes article at Speed on recent Rossi rumors. says Rossi will quit and wind up sitting out the rest of the season before coming back next year. Ducati will pull out of GP next year claiming that the rev limit hurts them too much.

Funny David (motomatters) twitting he couldn't quit because of who wrote the contract. :laughing

Noyes seems slightly more optimistic than the Spanish website he's quoting, but agrees that Rossi will leave Ducati if there's no improvement soon. shit-balls.
