Just saw a video where M13 picks up a pair. They seem pretty cool. The price is $350US which is steep compared to GoPro and Contour packages, but handy if you want to vlog or if you don't want to physically mount anything outside of your helmet. I imagine it's also handy because if you wanted to switch helmets or use it during some other venture, it's easier than trying to buy spare 3M mounts, etc.

Even if you didn't use it to catalog your rides (or driving, skydiving, etc) the pranks you could pull...

More neat stuff from their website as I was perusing:

-There's a feature to capture constant photos instead of video
-There are a TON of lens options (hydrophobic, polarized, photochromic)

Here's M13's review

Nice it doesn't have that shitty gopro rattle sound (yes I use the white thing a ma jig it comes with).
I wonder how long is battery life. Can't be a very big battery.

I would hope long enough to exhaust the 8GB of space. Too bad there isn't an auxiliary storage slot.

All this stuff is pretty cool, but the day when we have heads-up displays on the lens, it will turn the the iPhone into a rotary dial phone.

Of course, you will see drivers watching movies through their sunglasses and rear ending us.

Hopefully, they have figured out how to keep the glasses tight to the temple without making them bulky.

I bough a Chinese version of these a couple of years ago, and while the video worked fine (actually, it was great), the design did NOT fit well under a helmet, even with modification.

The buttons were also extremely hard to work inside of the helmet.

I believe the Google Glass does combine a heads up display and camera into a glasses form factor.

I would love to see a BARFer's review of these if anyone dare to take the first stab at 'em.

When that day comes, I'm going to get a rolling electromagnetic pulse mounted to my (shielded) bike to kill every electronic circuit I ride by, just like Batman.

That or stop riding. Whichever is easier.

Wouldn't that kill the computers that run all cars/bikes.

Let me be more specific. THese would be hard to use with a street helmet.
I would not use one of these.
