Suzuki enters 250 streetbike market.

No news on how it works, but it's certainly...um...interesting looking! :laughing

I'm sure it's fun to ride but ...

The GW250 got pretty favorable reviews. I wonder if they will update it with a 300cc to be on par with Honda, Kawa, and Yama. These small displacement bikes are selling like crazy. Try finding one for a reasonable price. They are all going upwards towards $5000 which I think is inflated. Dealers seem to be inflating them a lot too. Wish I could find a used GW250 for under $3500.

Holy necro thread. Now you've got the KTM 390s coming g soon to also do sales battle with the big three.

  • +1 using the search feature
  • -1 not checking the "date posted" for most recent post on an ancient thread, hearkening back to the days before electricity was invented
  • -1 not checking craigslist for "GW250"
Found an unsold 2013 model rotting away up in Petaluma. Bet you could haggle them down to $3000 easily for a >2 year old bike that has been hogging their showroom floor space.

Revived the thread! Gotta generate some buzz. I found a great deal on two GW250. There was also a Craigslist one for $2789 which sold in a day. Went to the Harley-Davidson Dealer out here to look at it a couple days after the craigslist post and it was sold already.

Interesting side note:

During the recent Moto3 Free Practice session, the commentators mentioned that a recent study of corner speed found that the Moto3 bikes are faster than the MotoGP bikes in the corners. Apparently, this is due to the fact that they have to carry a lot more entry speed into the corners than the GP bikes do.

I don't know about you, but my grin-ometer redlines every time I'm on a sub-300cc bike.

:ride

"Enters"?

Suzuki built their reputation on 250 streetbikes. Anyone heard of the X6 Hustler?
