2 teen girls carjack and kill an Uber Eats driver in Washington DC

I didn’t drink before legal age of 18 and I don’t consider occasional speeding rebellious. People speed today in their adulthood. Does that make them rebels?

The below video happened one week ago, that's my SO's MDX getting smashed. Apparently, the kids had car jacked the accord a few days earlier. At least two of them look really young. My GF actually saw them and she guessed the two little ones were early teens at the oldest.

What a way to wake up!

That’s bad and could have been worse but the two degenerates in the OP first used a taser on the delivery driver and then killed him with his own car. Bringing it to a whole other lever of criminal scum. I might cut them some slack if they were younger than ten but at 13 I kinda knew killing people was a bad scene.

The two children who murdered this guys ended up at shitstains for the rest of their pathetic lives.

n 2010, Venables was sent to prison for breaching the terms of his licence, and was released on parole again in 2013. In November 2017, Venables was again sent to prison for possessing child abuse images on his computer.

Yeah, I wasn't comparing what happened in my video to what the OP posted, that was horrible. Just pointing out how young they were.

Thanks, but this was all like 15 years ago. It's way in the past for me, and my current relationship with my brother is pretty good. I was more making the point that good parents can nonetheless have kids who act like complete shits, and people who are completely terrible as teenagers can, and I think usually do, change and improve as they get older. My brother is a way better person now compared to who he was as a teenager. I am a better person now compared to who I was as a teenager too. I would expect most people here would say the same if they were being honest.

I'm glad it worked out for you, but my point is more that fighty shitheads are nto child murderers. They are a rare and unusual specimen and, "kids who act up," are not the same creature.

Many may be on the path of Violentization, but are probably not at the end path. Watching the video I posted helps.

Might depend state to state but I do know they won't see the death penalty.

Indeed

The last judicially-approved execution of a juvenile was convicted murderer Leonard Shockley, who died in the Maryland gas chamber on April 10, 1959, at the age of 17. No one has been under the age of 19 at the time of execution since at least 1964'

I blame modern antitheft tech. When I was a teen we didn't need to carjack anyone; a slide hammer and a screwdriver were our tickets to joyriding.

Even suggesting that is taking way way WAY too much responsibility off the two criminals.

Especially considering this was not some random unattended car in a dark alley.

Even if it were, we have a thieves need to be executed crowd around here.

Who here is/was a parent of a teenager? My stepson is 12 and he has both me AND his birth dad in his life as figures of authority and discipline. In fact, all four of us get along and are completely simpatico on raising him. It is constant with the boy, not because he is a bad kid, but because we want him to be a good adult. He’s a well-accomplished martial artist, and a caring and loving, smart kid. We have issues with time management and electronics, but what parents don’t?

The point is this: we don’t helicopter, but all of us are extremely involved in his life and offer prudent and wise learning opportunities. I’ve had many conversations with him about right and wrong, and watching out for troubled kids. I’ve taught him to use good judgment, and watch out for kids who seek trouble and substances. The key is: we are involved.

Yes, kids can venture off and just be bad regardless of parenting. But the chances are lessened with good parenting. My boy will make mistakes along the way - but to the point of robbery and manslaughter? So, the ultimate question is, where did it go wrong with these girls?

I have no idea what your comment means please explain using words.

I have no idea of the relevance of your comment as it relates to the original article, especially the word that I bolded. It seems that word has special relevance to you, if you can point out the relevance we can have a discussion about it.

Thank you.

Clearly others were able to turn it into a discussion point, and perhaps if you said that earlier we could have corrected it.

I blame violent video games.

You know some of us have NEVER had a rebellious, criminal phase, so when people use the excuse of youth, I don't buy it. I was a mature 13 year old that didn't have the urge to hijack cars.

I am not excusing their actions, or claiming that at 13 they could not know what they were doing was wrong. All I'm talking about is the parents culpability, and what punishment would fit the teenagers crimes. I don't think this necessarily says anything about the parents. I don't think that life sentences, which multiple people here have said they want, is an appropriate punishment.

The dude who attacked and brutally assaulted the older Asian lady in NYc was on lifetime parole for MURDERING HIS MOM. I’m sure they’ll be back on the streets after a round in criminal school.
