*2004* Why is it that at least half of all Ducati riders can't ride for chit?

I wish I would've gotten in on this thread earlier... This is great...

He must've been following some really slow ducs around the track..... 5 days???????

No hating here... I consistently run in the mid teens @ t-hill. I'll post a pic of my ST4...:laughing

Not to bag on someone else from this board, but there was another dude here, that talked somewhat, but not quite like fr0ng. Similar in arrogance, kinda.

I was at my 1st or 2nd trackday, and I had read everything he siad up until that point.

All I remember is a pretty nice bike (ducati or rc51, can't remember) cartwheeling down the hill on turn 5 at T-Hill. End of story.

Karma is a bitch that does NOT like to be tested.

remember that fr0ng

Frong's just jealous because he doesn't have a bike that's as well sprung, has as sexy of a chassis or as powerful brakes.

Frong... while a Honduh will always tell you, "It's okay newbie, I'll take care of you and save your ass when you make a newb mistake," a Duc goes, "You fucking pussy... are you even trying?" :laughing :laughing

It was an RC51 and the same guy told me

"I'm not cocky, I'm just confident" :laughing

Didnt he bump from C group to A group in like, 1 session, and break the track record too?

Hey F(W)rong...why is it that newbies get a 600RR only to crash so many times in so little a time?? I figured you of all people ought to know. Yeah, you're free to say your opinions...but then so do we.

Duc riders are pussies, I agree.

So are Ferrari owners...they're fags.

Crash my 600RR so many times? :wtf

ok are you talking about the older ducati crowd or the young guy ducati crowd.

Now before you get your panties in a wad, lets make a distinction here.

The older crowd....guys in their late 30s-40's that have ridden for 20 years, that can now afford a "luxury" sport bike....like they can now afford a Porsche. Guys in their 20's, who have done the time on the other bikes, who have saved and saved to get that ducati. They ride it conservatively with maturity.

The young guy crowd...late teens, early 20's, no experience on a motorcycle, but saw a ducati in a movie and have figured that they will be able to get laid just from having a ducati. Guys in their older years, never ridden, going through midlife crisis, seeking a chick magnet.

Ok, that is the 2 crowds. You have to be distinct in your views, because you have 2 different groups of people to talk about.

The older crowd....nothing to prove, they have been there, they enjoy the track time to ride peacefully in a controlled environment. They sit and watch other riders, out of fun. They remember other times, when they had the stamina and the need to hit the track for speed. Now they ride for the pure enjoyment of it. AND, they already know, that no matter what....its a Ducati....seen as the king of sportbikes by people that dont know motorcycles. It costs alot, has an exotic name and is made in Europe....people think all that great stuff comes from there. They have nothing to prove, just like the guy that has a Porsche on the highway...he knows his car is going to smoke yours, so why bother....

The young guy crowd....just started riding, thinks they are invincible and ride like idiots. They think that just becuase they have a Duc....chicks will flock to them. NM about safe riding, its all about getting to the cafe, or local hangout, just to showoff that Duc! They buy the expensive leathers and such and just wait for people to notice them and ask a question about the Duc. To them, its all about the Duc....ask them "Hey, what do you do?" meaning work...they will answer...."I ride a Ducati" Wow, thats impressive.

So make sure you distinguish which group your talking about!!!!!

That one.

Some of the most experienced riders I have had the pleasure of sharing the road with have been older gents on a Ducati. But what do I know?
FrOng, listen and learn so you can one day learn and teach.
