2011 Cadillac CTS-V Stolen 8.5.26

Got private YouGube vids from our citizen friend.
Sad to see the car pushed away again. Evidently they cannot start it.

It must have been pushed on to a flatbed to get it to Oaklamd.

Maybe you might have a case against the lazy Oakland PD? They failed to do their job.

There is no case I am sure.

On an interesting side note. A friend of mine had one of his employees trucks stolen last night. Knowing what I went through he said that the employees should go to Oakland and look through the hood where my car was.

They did and they found it and got it back. Gotta go gansta on this stuff I guess.

Really sad to say that, but is what it is at this point. Can't count on the police to do anything except collect $$$. That is an exaggeration but sure is starting to feel that way. Overworked, understaffed, underpaid.. what else can you throw at the wall?

Menlo Park PD still has not come to pick up the video evidence. 8 days.
Good job there too.

I’d likely write the same media, describe your friend’s experience, and say the Oakland PD is letting car theft rings run rampant in Oakland.

The news statement of "Oakland PD reports they responded and didn't find anything" just stinks of BS, at least if it was done within an hour or so of when they got word. Otherwise, sounds like a call they didn't even pushback from their Starbucks coffees and cleared via their handheld radio.

Underpaid?

$8,830.69 to $12,366.92 per month ($105,968 to $148,403 annually) for active officers. Police officer trainees earn $7,502.58 per month ($90,031 annually) while attending the academy. Total earnings scale higher with shift differentials, longevity, and special incentives. [1, 2]

it’s like wow, what if no one gave a single fuck? Very frustrating for you.

Oakland is a disaster. The competency of the PD isn't in the hands of the officers themselves, but the city officials who hire the Chief. We know who that is and likely why crime persists in Oakland.
