2011 Spring Rally -- BARF does Quincy!

Looks like we picked a year with extra snow and late winter to visit Quincy :rofl

When life gives you snow... Snowball fight!

It will be a little cold and, towards the end, a little wet in the mountains. Let's just hope it doesn't snow while we are there :laughing

I hope I didn't start a negative trend. I'm still a go, but am considering riding up Friday, spending the night, and returning Saturday morning before the weather craps on me.

Echoing Jason, Jeff and Mike, "Rain & Ride" is only if I'm caught in it or absolutely must. Yes, I'm a pussy.

I'm not a pussy. I've already got plenty of experience sitting in rain for 45 day field problems. I'm not interested in getting wet if I don't have to. Rain suit or not.

I'm out too due to weather and some other reasons. I'll PM HH about the room stuff and I will surely miss not being there. Maybe another time later in the year. :)

I'm leaning towards Tom's suggested long route, but Rick's shorter route could alleviate the body aches and the bitching the next day.

Please see my previous comment about removing the sand from ones vag if you think the exhaust is too loud :twofinger

RIDE MOAR:teeth

Still in. It's what the 'stich is for.

Posers. The lot of ya :twofinger

Still IN :teeth

Think how fabulous the warm springs will be after a cold/soggy ride :thumbup

Dear Guys and Gals,

*You can drop out on Thursday or even on Friday morning (but you will have to cancel your motel reservation in advance, and then rebook on Thursday or Friday if you later decide to join)*. We are still a good 6 days out from Sunday -- there is enough time for the weather to blow over.

Even if it doesn't... The only affect it will have on us is Sunday morning as we come down from the mountains during the first couple of hours. Once in Ororville, you are looking at 80's and dry. You will DRY OUT in just 20 minutes on I-5 at speed :rofl

Give the weather a little time :thumbup

*EDIT: WARNING: WOOPS:*
Sorry, just remembered... You will need to cancel your motel reservation some hours before Friday (48 hours?) Somebody please feel free to confirm. You may cancel it now, and then rebook on Thursday if you change your mind. I doubt there would be an availability problem :)

+1, the amount of rain on Sunday is relative to how much time you spend in the lower mountains, before reaching the valley. just saying, it certainly doesn't seem like rain all day sunday. ;)

Too early to tell

All the best weather experts still get it wrong half the time. You can bet the forecast isn't totally accurate this far out from the weekend. Drier, wetter, isolated. Whatever. It's up to luck and besides, it's an adventure! :ride

come on now fellas, why turn this into a rain no rain riding discussion. seems the reports, even if there is rain, say there is a little in the mountains on Sunday.

Just leave early, and you'll be warm in the central valley in no time, yeah? :teeth
