Hope you guys have a fantastic trip.

I've been down here for nearly a month, and its been a blast. Great weather! $1 fish tacos! $3 Margaritas! Amazing sunrises! Swimming with whale sharks! What's not to love?

Been on some great rides. Even snuck onto the big chunk of property that some Walmart heiress bought a few years ago and closed off. But the XR400 is not doing well. The piston sounds like its slapping the cylinder wall, and the corroded frame buckled and cracked where the kickstand attaches. Might try the local Mexican welder before I throw in the towel on her, but I may have to start looking around for a new mount. Orange?

There's still a chance that I might be able to meet up with you guys in Mulege. Would be great to see you all. Have a safe drive down!

Dude...... I am so coming down next winter and crashing to do some windsurfing for "an extended visit." Even if I have to crash in the truck. Is xxxx xxx still dating her? If so, I bet if you asked him you wouldnt even have to sneak onto the property. He used to be an old school NorCal dirtbiking surfer. But people can change I guess. Did you get some good water days in? I havent been in years, but fondly remember carving up that swell in the channel!

Your XR is going no where! Tom and I will help rebuild it properly for a few hundred bucks (seriously). It you MUST have a button, we can source all that stuff off ebay from a TRX400 for a little more. Frame is easy. I NEVER should have sold my plated XR400r and regret it to this day. Hopefully we see you in Mulege. If not, drinks in the city when we return!

Leo, What CJ said is true. We'll fix it. Just PM us.

A friend had Honda warranty his brand new XR frame years ago, because it cracked in the same place. He used to stand on it while kick starting it. That portion of the frame will not hold up to that kind of pressure.
