Dude...... I am so coming down next winter and crashing to do some windsurfing for "an extended visit." Even if I have to crash in the truck. Is xxxx xxx still dating her? If so, I bet if you asked him you wouldnt even have to sneak onto the property. He used to be an old school NorCal dirtbiking surfer. But people can change I guess. Did you get some good water days in? I havent been in years, but fondly remember carving up that swell in the channel!
Your XR is going no where! Tom and I will help rebuild it properly for a few hundred bucks (seriously). It you MUST have a button, we can source all that stuff off ebay from a TRX400 for a little more. Frame is easy. I NEVER should have sold my plated XR400r and regret it to this day. Hopefully we see you in Mulege. If not, drinks in the city when we return!
Edit: took persons name out of post.
I am planning on at least a month down here next year - you are welcome for all or part of it. With a little luck we will have some basic accommodations by then (currently in a tiny trailer) but you still may have to sleep in your truck - or a tent.
Haven't asked about the current dating situation, but it does seem like the woman in question is doing some good things for the area. I just hate losing riding areas, especially to pansies in lycra shorts.
I'll forego looking for a new bike until you, Tom, and me have a good look at the XR and decide if its worth saving. Don't care about the magic button. I still may talk to the local welder about repairing the frame though.
No windsurfing, running, or mountain biking this trip due to the ACL surgery. Oddly enough, my surgeon was ok with riding my motorcycle. Clearly he has no idea what the fuck we do.

Sailing next year for sure, though nearly everyone has switched to kiting now. Just a few of us old fucks still windsurfing. Be great to have a sailing partner!
Hope to see you all in Mulege.
The Old Mill is awesome. Or at least, it was the last time I was there.
