2019 - 2026 Wednesday Night Drags Sonoma

Race day! Only a few more Wednesday night drags left for the year. If your on the fence, come on out and play. Racing starts at 4pm, get there early. Should be some good weather for fast times.

Good luck drag racers I will come back out in November, October is kinda crazy for me right now.

Doug Love wins again 10-6-21. He takes out Eric Oliver in the finals. There were a lot of break outs (including me in the 2nd round) do to favorable changing weather conditions. One minute the wind is blowing and the next second it's not. Hard to put A dial in but this is what Sonoma is famous for on Wednesday nights. In the second round I faced Doug. We had almost identical reaction times, .034 to .035 and the race would be won on our dials. I run a 9.319 on a 9.33 dial and Doug runs a 13.126 on a 13.08 dial. I am closer to my dial but I went under and Doug gets the win. Doug wins in the finals as Eric red lights at the start and then booth break out at the top end.

Doug always a tough customer!

Race day 10-13-21. Only 3 more race dates for the year. Come out and play, time is running out... Racing starts at 4pm. $35 to race, get there early.

Results from 10-13-21. Tyler Christle gets the win. He took out Points Champ Doug Love in the first round with a killer reaction time of .001 to Doug's also .005! He took the bye in round 2 and then faced Eric Oliver in the 3rd round winning on a break out by Eric, dialed a 10.67 and ran a 10.669! He then defeated Dennis O'Dell in the finals. I went out in the first round against Tom Myers on his Yamaha Fazer. Condition were great, a slight tailwind most of the night and by the end of the evening there was no wind at all! Sorry there are not more pictures but Sonoma Raceway killed the pictures from the amateur photographers. I guess they thought they were missing out on something......

They are missing out on something. Free publicity from better sincere and enthusiastic ambassadors than they could possibly pay for.
Short sighted idiots.

Dang good job Tyler! He definitely earned it! That's the way to take a trophy home no doubt you were the best that night!

Still waiting for the final word on today's racing:

Hi all, I know everyone is very excited to get out to the track for the last Wednesday Night Drags of the year. Please stay tuned, we will not be making the call until 12 noon whether or not we are able to race tonight. This page and the hotline will be updated once we make the decision. Thank you for your patience while we work to dry the track and create a safe place to race.

I just got the word from my daughter, Joe.
