2019 - 2026 Wednesday Night Drags Sonoma

I think we had 9 or 10 bikes last night. 2 Harley drag bikes, 2 636's, a zx10, honda hawk, 500 Yamaha, a triumph, supercharged Road King and my Hayabusa. I made 7 runs. Weather was great and then we got a small headwind. I again went out in the first round. We had two great reaction times, .019 to my .013 but I went a little too quick and broke out, ran a 9.39 on a 9.44 dial in. Glad to see old man Bill with a nice clean pass. He ran a 14.783 on a 14.78 dial and had the best overall package for cars and bikes.

I think we had 9 or 10 bikes last night.

But a scary low car count.
Where dafuq was everybody?? Wednesday was a nice night.
It's a shame when we need to rely on the drifter squids to keep the lights on.

The last 2 Wednesday nights have been low on the car count. I thought last week was because they just had Labor Day drags, but this week I don't know what was up. On one hand, it's nice because we get to make a lot of passes, but yes, I know we need the cars to keep the lights on.....Next week should be different, they are have one of the big money bracket shoot outs.

:thumbup
I'll see you out there.
I was there the other night but got hung up talking with my kiddo.

Update from yesterday 9-18-19, Wednesday night drags. Thought it was going to be a rain out, but the weather cleared up in time. I had already decided I was not going to make it. Well I finished up working on a bike and decided to give it a go. I was 1 hour behind my normal schedule and missed the first practice run. I made 3 other practice runs and then off to eliminations. I ended up making it to the finals against Doug Love (#2 in points) and I finally take him out for the win! He broke out and I ran a 9.41 on a 9.40 dial!! 16 mph headwind to boot! Next week, same time same place.

Managed to get in on the top 20 best packages with my finals time slip.

Congrats on the win!

I will be taking today off from racing as the temperature will be extreme! Have fun for those who choose to brave the heat!

Good call, Joe.

Yesterday's results, (10-2-2019). We had 9 bikes I think. Made a total of 9 runs, practice and eliminations. Weather started off great with no wind but as the sun went down our famous headwind came up. Not as bad as normal but it was there. The finals came down to me on the Busa and Bill Myers on his Honda Hawk. Bill broke out by almost 2 tenths and I ran a 9.36 on a 9.34 dial for the win.

There will be racing tonight at Sonoma. Drags and drift. Gates open at 3pm.

How did you do, Joe?
Work and school will keep me away from WND for a while.
