Any info on the Yamaha Fazer behind the Hyabusa? I'm curious as I have one.

I got lucky 2 weeks in a row!

Nonsense.
My definition of luck: The collision of timing and preparation.
You have to make it to the final round to even have a chance for the trophy. A lot can happen over the course of the evening. You put yourself in the position to win.
That's all you.:thumbup

Race day started off good with a rare tailwind. Had multiple bikes making their quickest runs. With the wind blowing in our favor many of us continued to try for quickest runs instead of trying to run a dial in number. Car count was a tad low so we were on pace to get 4 practice runs before eliminations. But as fate would have it, we had a medical emergency and all racing stopped until a replacement ambulance made it to the track. When racing continued we went straight into eliminations. I had to guess on a dial, we now had a headwind and my last run i missed 3rd gear. I got lucky in the first round. I dialed a 9.35 and my opponent stalled his bike on the start. I coasted through on a 9.62 to make sure i did not break out and hand him a win. Second round was a better race. I had a .048 to a .049 reaction time and won with a time of 9.44 on a 9.38 dial. My opponent broke out running a 12.449 on a 12.80 dial. On to round 3. I get the by and run it all the way out. I run a 9.372 at only 141mph. My clutch had started to act up again as I can see the low mph and I'm having a hard time getting it into neutral. The run before I had to turn the bike off put it in neutral and then start it back up. I need it to hold for one more run in the finals. Not much time for it to cool off as the rounds are coming up quick now. Tom Myers does the impossible and takes out Doug Love the previous round. He won on a hole shot (better reaction time) over deadly Doug Love in the upset of the night. So the final are set Tom and I. I tell Merlin about my clutch issues and try to figure out what number to dial in. I don't think it can run the 9.37 I just did on my by run, but I have nothing else to go by so I use that as my dial in. We both have almost perfect reaction times, Tom had a .004 to my .007. Tom dialed a 13.20 and ended up breaking out, running a 13.099 and I get the win and run a 9.398. What a race. Very rare to see those type of reaction times on in the same race especially on motorcycle.

Here is how the last race of June 2021 went down

Doug Love got the win last night in a super close finals against Birthday boy Tom Myers. It came down to a reaction time win as both riders ran almost perfect dial ins. Doug .040 RT 13.304 (Dial 13.30) Tom .060 Rt 13.182 (Dial 13.18) Margin of victory was 2.68 ft!

Another good start of the day weather conditions, so we were able to make some great practice time runs. Next race is 7-28-21.
