Race day Wednesday August 24. Racing starts at 4pm. Get there early (2:30 ish) if you're racing to get through tech and be ready to race right at 4pm for practice runs. Eliminations start at 7pm. $35 to race.

Results from 8-24-22

It was a good day of racing. Not a lot of vehicles so we made 5 practice runs before eliminations. There was one oil down/crash by one of the cars, but it did not affect us.

My first two runs resulted in big wheelies right off the line. I ran a 9.29 and then A 9.26. I got one more in and had an almost perfect run, going 9.09 @149.85. So much for trying to break personal records, time to get serious and find a good number to run. The next pas i goo in deep to help my reaction times and I run a 9.24 and that was a surprise and then a run a 9.278 in the final practice run.

First round of eliminations and I am paired with James on his zx14. He normally runs wheelie bars, but the last few weeks had has not used them. He has been pretty consistent and running 10.70's most of the day. I dial a 9.24 and James dial a 10.73. I have a decent .074 light and James leaves with a .243 light. We take off and James is running good. I get to half track and I am not gaining on him. He crosses the finish line first but he breaks out running a 10.53 putting on the brakes. I run a 9.35 and get the win. I am starting to notice my clutch is acting funny. The product of very hard launches, it's the price I pay for good times. Next round I face Saun on the tlr1000. Saun dials a 11.60 and I dial 9.33. Saun has a great reaction time .012 and I have a .067 light. Just past half track I go by him and I get the win, running a 9.36 to his 11.71. The margin of victory is .0247. The clutch is getting worse. Hard to get neutral and the bike is starting to creep even with the clutch in. Next round I am facing Jesse Dolan on his Aprilia. Jesse dials a 10.80 and I dial a 9.35 and cross my fingers. We pull up to the line and bring the rpm's up. I feel my bike starting to creep and I try to dig my toes in to hold the bike still. Jesse takes off and I am waiting for my light to turn green. The bike is starting to move and I can keep it still. I turn on the red light -.112 early and instantly lose the race at the starting line. I run it out going a 9.502 and Jesse takes the win running a 11.073. My night is over, but Jesse makes it to the finals for the first time. He faces Doug Love and hands the win to Doug with a red light of his own.

Looks like fun. Didn't make it the bike was running backwards haha. I don't know what's going to happen with this new motor it needs to be tuned apparently.

After several weeks off, Wednesday Night Drags are on again this Wednesday 9-28-22. $35 to race. Get there early to get through tech. Racing starts at 4pm, eliminations at 7pm.

There was a Supermoto USA race at the Shasta Kart Track in Redding last weekend and they were doing a test and tune event Saturday night and I got a to make 4 passes on the 1/4 mile. It's a shame my bike is still down on power still because there was NO WIND. They were running the sportsman tree but I got one of my best reaction times ever after a 2 red lights. Haha I have to say they do things a bit different up there. There were some dudes that were racing supermotos they let them run wearings T-Shirts. Someone told me it was $20 to do time runs but it wound up being $35 when I was at the gate. Same price as WND.

Check it out 0.008 reaction time, my bike cut out on that run though so my ET was a 24s though. Was running 19s again, if I only had more power more rpm....

When I get my new controller and motor setup I'll take it back out to WND. Have fun out there!

Hope you get the controller figured out quick. They did a bunch of improvement to Redding this year. Under new management/ownership. .008 nice! Sounds like tech is a little "relaxed'....

Sonoma wind was back with a vengeance yesterday. Strong headwind all day. Not the weather for any good times and it showed. We had about 15 bikes with several newcomers. During practice My best time was a 9.36@142mph. After that times were 9.46 and a 9.42. First round of elimination I drew one of the new guys and I won that round pretty easy. There was a 1 second difference in our dial ins and My competitor did not have a good reaction time so I instantly caught him before the 60ft mark and cruised to the win. I dialed a 9.39 and ran a 9.49 letting off before the finish. I had a .070 reaction time compared to a .205.

Next up is Tyler on his zx10. He is just coming back from elbow surgery, but he was making some good passes. His airshifter ran out of air the pass before so he will be foot shifting against me. I dial a 9.40 and run a 9.431. Tyler dials a 9.55 but runs a 10.091. He spun off the line and then missed second gear. On to the 3rd round for me. I face current points leader Doug Love. Doug is 1 round ahead of me for first place for the season points lead. I need to get by him. I dial a 9.39 and Doug dials a 13.24. Doug has a .059 reaction time but I have a better .020 light. I catch and pass Doug and then blip the throttle to make sure I don't break out. My win light comes on and I did what I needed to do. I run a 9.43 and Doug runs a 13.24. He is closer to his dial in but my rection time gives me the win by .0015 of a second! To the finals and I am facing Tom Myers on his Yamaha Fazer. Tom and I have faced off multiple times this season and I have gotten the best of them. I dial a 9.40 and Tom Dial a 13.10. Tom has a Good reaction time, .033 and I am caught sleeping with a .112 light. I have my work cut out for me now. I run Tom down and cross the finish line first, BUT my win light does not come on, I break out running a 9.35 and Tom gets the win running a 13.36. Things are getting real tight between Tom, Doug and myself. Any of us can win the season series with just a few races left. Next race is October 5.
