2024-25 Road Racing Silly Season

Rumors are Miller to Yamaha Tech 3. Hope so.

I enjoy Miller's precence in MotoGP.
 
Miguel Oliveira officially announced as a rider for what will be the 2025 Pramac Yamaha team as the five-time GP winner receives a two-year contract. The remaining Pramac Yamaha seat is the only open spot left for 2025. Speculation has Jack Miller getting that ride but its not 100%.
 
Alvaro Bautista has extended his contract with the factory Aruba.it Ducati WSBK team for 2025.
 
Read Gagne is sitting out the rest of '24. Bummer... he has just not seemed himself.
 
Gagne hasn't been healthy all year. Tough season for Attack Yamaha. MotoAmerica Superbike has been very competitive but imagine how much better it would be with a healthy Gagne. Hope he comes back at 100% next year.
 
Official announcement today that Jack Miller will ride for Pramac Yamaha next season. Miller returns to Pramac and will ride for a 4th different manufacturer in his premier class career.
 
Good to hear it confirmed. I like Jack.

He is fast, but not consistantly fast enough for the entire races to really challenge for the Title.
Now on a Yamaha.. gonna be tough. Still a damn good life IMO.

Yamaha confirmed today that they are working a V4 and expect to test it in a new chassis next year. However, the Grand Prix commission is rumored to announce a freeze on engine development for 2025 and 2026 under the current regulations. That means there might not be any more development on 1000cc engines but does not impede development of 850cc engines for the 2027 regulations. Still waiting for confirmation and how the development freeze would affect teams with concessions.
 
2025 MotoGP Calendar. 22 events on the schedule.

Notes:
- Argentina and Hungary may not happen. Argentina for political reasons. Hungary because the circuit still needs work to homologate. WSBK was supposed to race there this year but the track wasn't ready.
- No triple headers but there are seven back-to-back races.
- Brno is back!!!!!!!
- Summer break is between Brno July 20 and Red Bull Ring August 17.
