2025 / 2026 Investment Thread

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what's happening tomorrow?

from what I understand, SC should be ruling on tariffs. Globally markets have struggled today because of the Presidents geopolitical activities. I think tomorrow will open red, and if the SC affirms the presidents ability to raise tariffs, we will see a pretty hard selloff. If the SC reverses course, then we might get a pretty green week.

Either way Im offsides on some covered calls and I have long dated puts as insurance.

TACO, once it bottoms buy buy buy.

Consumer discretionary has been flat for many months, I don't think the market has a particularly strong bias on a SCOTUS ruling. The short sellers have been out in force on SCOTUS inaction, seems like we will see small dip if they affirm, and a medium sized lift if they reject.

I'm sooooo heavy in TACO right now. Founder's shares are protected by Yeti's.

A certain someone saying things that affect the market, likely while his children tell their buddies right before he does so

Anyway, US futures aren't down very much. Euro stocks and crypto got hit the hardest.
Hmm the future was saying way selloff which the market did today

A lot of ppl went right back to gold and silver, kinda knew this last Friday that Taco Tuesday was going to take a all new meaning 🌮 meow

Yellow nuggies are insurance. Brass will be far more invaluable if theres a wide societal collapse.

That's futures for like the first 30 mins of action, if you saw new Zealand's, Aussie and China and all the big EU markets it woulda seen easy around 1-2% drop

Still like I said hope it just rebounds by Friday, his entire tariffs then no tarriffs and then we got the deal for Greenland is like blackmail lol

I'm not sure what you mean. They're real time futures quotes. I'm not talking about the strip of data along the top. Scroll down below that, and there's real-time US futures followed by foreign futures, and then commodities

I'm saying those futures predict opening bell and like 30 mins past it and that's it

If you want true future indications, see the global stock market, USA is the last market to open and close

The news about taco going cray on Friday, we saw the other markets react on Monday, the future you saw didn't reflect that, I already knew we had to grab ankles Tuesday 🤣

And that's exactly the type of data I needed. You guys were saying we were going to tank, and I simply provided some data that disagreed.

Yes, Europe was tanking on Monday, but that didn't necessarily mean the US would. On Monday night, US futures were only down by like half a percent. Traders already knew about Europe tanking, and it didn't seem to matter much to them. 🤷‍♂️

Futures are weak if it's a half percent or less. And yea no one really cares about Euro or Asian equity markets that much, their opinions are taken under advisory only. The tail doesn't wag the dog.
