2025 Investment Thread

For dividends,

1. do you guys reinvest them in that stock?
2. take them as cash and invest elsewhere?
3. take them as cash and spend it?

A good example on how the Fed rate cuts don't necessarily mean lower mortgage rates.

I like to reinvest in the same stock, because that way I get a more accurate readout of how well it has grown. If you take them out as cash, the growth metrics won't be accurate anymore

Goog is eating its lunch. TSLA is pretending it can make chips to cash in on the hype

Is his nose ELONgating Ă  la Pinocchio perhaps?

Thoughts on gold, silver and platinum trajectories, values in 2026? Physical holdings, not ETFs, shares etc. 2025 has been most excellent, but who knows what 2026 portends? Wishful thinking only folks, nobody knows where we will be a couple of quarters from now. Silver has been on a tear of late.

Tomorrow I will make some sales and purchases; the sales are favourably locked in, the purchases - Que sera sera.

Happy Monday all! Wait, I am retired; is it really going to be Monday or just another Saturday? :)

I am way below 5%, I have in the past few years enjoyed collecting a few minted coins as well as buying Pamp Suisse bars from Costco. So far I am ahead, but if it collapses I might be singing a different song. Perhaps I would need to buy Bud Light instead of tasty IPAs. Oh fuck that, that is one thing that would never happen!

I take my divi payouts and dump into voo then splg and now spym (they all index sp500, spym is lowest maintenance price)

Nope, this is still table of contents pre chapter of NVDA ai book

See my remarks about NVDA in the 2024 investment thread

I seem to recall you forecasting NVDA becoming a 10 bagger from back when it had a $3T.
I have a small position in the stock and wouldn’t be upset at seeing it go to the moon but NVDA keeping their lead over the competition for that to happen is highly unlikely, like no way it will happen.

Meh you just a hater, see how fast it hit 4 tril and now 5 tril?

Also I went into NVDA when it was around 600 pre split, technically it's only gotta like 5x right now for my 10 bagger and if you really think it can't happen

Guess your gonna miss the boat

Actually I just need it to 3x from 200 to 600 and the 10 bagger is there, it went to 205 and tested itself when it dipped into 170s in the past few weeks (big AI short from the Burry guy)

Who do you really think is going to challenge NVDA? I don't see anybody that is up to their level, you can say amd and Intel and if you look into it, their designs are still like 2 generations behind vs tsmc stuff for NVDA
