2025 New Bikes JohnDice Memorial thread.

The things that make me scratch my head about this $110k work of performance machine :
-120 mph speed governor
-bias ply tires
-belt drive

" We made a bike as close to our Factory Race Bikes as we could " with a price tag higher than anything they have ever produced , but these three things don't make sense to me! Don't get me wrong, I am still very excited to see how well this bike is received , but I feel they cheese balled with the tire selection ( their race team wouldn't run bias tires or rubber bands ) and restricting the performance output is the wrong move!

Your thoughts ?
my thoughts based on your head scratch comments are that it appears to be more "show" than "go"!?
... and not sure it's a good idea for them to brag about how high the price is! LoL!

My thought is WTF?

Price sucks! Although, limited to 131 copies for the street = $$$$, but price sucks.

The 120MPH speed limiter. :dunno Maybe because of the hard bags? I know my K1300GT had stickers in them saying not to "Exceed 115MPH" with them on.
OOOPS !!! And "it" didn't have a speed limited motor.

Bias ply tires. Another :dunno

As for the "belt", not too concerned about that. Put lots of miles on them without issue. New belt tech has come a long ways, look at the belts (like Dayco) and the huge power they're able to pull on Top Fuel motors and even high HP street stuff.

Price still sucks! But I'd still like one. :teeth

Homulgation special for the bagger series?

Ah, the old days of production race bike specials.

A lot. It is a bagger. :laughing

They should allow other V-twin baggers into the class. I'd bet a 450 lb. Ducati Multistrada with shortened suspension travel would mop up.

While very true I suspect the intent of the class was to try to get some interest/$$$ from the Harley/Indian crowd at the races. They don't wanna see no Doo-catty Commie bike smokin' the 'Merican sickles.

Totally...!! It has worked too. Crowds at the races are bigger because of the Bagger Class and that is good for the series.

I disagree about American Bikers dismissing Ducatis, I found my first Hyper in Sturgis, chained to an alley dumpster. Every guy I met praised the Red Dressed Duc. with Moto lust in their heart, like mine.
I walked out of Whole Foods in Sedona, and found a fine looking woman petting the headlight, of my Hyper.
I've had a guy in Flagstaff yell out a car window, "Rice" when I passed by on my V-Rod.
That 80 year old grandmother mentioned her 45 HD, after walking by the V-Rod, same logo of her bike, too.
Most know, some are confused, , ,
Diavel for tire smoke, and the win.

I built a Ducati the Harley guys liked. Ape bars (relative to clip-ons), loud-ass Cocktail Shaker pipes and a bad word on the tank. And some chains and black.

For just a few more $ than the CVO Road Glide RR $250,000, you could have one of these...
