Yea, I think there was a mention of a potential of an 850R for this (could have just been fan fiction), which I think would have been really nice. 60ish HP, anything to lower the weight.
 
Spotted in the hills above LA. Two Buell 1190 Hammerhead development / test mules? Both bikes with Wisconsin MFG plates. Camera mounting stocks, missing side radiator cover, different license plate tail section, different exhaust (prototype?) similar to the older 1125R. Sans the up swept can on the stock Hammerhead. That is, keep the weight low.
It also appears that they're having some fun, no chicken strips on those new tires. :teeth

Have requested additional pics and info. We'll see what shows up.
