I fucked up on the invite sorry.

I am getting with the program on this bike.
Digging it.

I was in the flow today on Mt Hammie today.

Be aggressive and be rewarded by the Ducati Gods.

Sweet ride today. I was in the zone for much of it. What lovely roads, Mt Hamilton and San Antonio Valley be.
Many of the usual suspects at the Junction.

I felt gooooooooooodddd!!

It was a blast for sure. What a fun road. I am wondering what the hell is up with my tires.. they are lasting way to long. :laughing

Loving your reports as I got one in May and have 2700 on it. Coming from a BMW S1000XR. I find it’s better in every way. As heavy as it is I’m impressed with how quickly it turns in. For sure the forged wheels help.
Curious how many miles your getting on the back tire. Mine looks like it’s only going to get 3000 out of the rear Diablo 4, but very happy with how sticky it is. I have a set of Q5S’s I’m going to try next.

Right on wheels.

I now have 6800 on the clock. The stock tires did 2800 miles and are still good. I did change them out for some Rallies because I did not want to chance it.

I have typically gotten about 3k from the sticky stuff. The coastal thing was 2500 miles, but not a bunch of serious twisties which is where I am usually riding.

I did a ride report from our last rally a week ago here.

Chasing some KTM 890's had me really working the bike to keep up. I called it a PiggyStrada in the report because it wore me out!!!!!! :laughing

It performed great it just took a lot of effort with the weight. My old V2 was more nimble, but as noted above went on a big weight loss diet.

I put on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa's for the really sticky and they are still OK suprisingly at a bit below 2000 miles.

Glad you are enjoying the review. :thumbup

Bud, did you get to try the race mode on it yet?

I have now engaged race mode several times. It feels great.
On the Nevada proving grounds I hit 163 before shutting it back due to closing quickly on a mate in front of me. I think it had a couple more mph in it. :gsxrgrl

With near 8K miles I am doing an oil change, new brake pads and some other general checking soon.

The surprise:
I did find a bit of a shock with the auto pilot when a car moved into my lane / radar range. The system braked very strongly. I did not need to do that, but the bike decided I was not all that so it demanded its safe range. I knew it rolled off the throttle but did not know it would brake for me! I knew it would roll off in corners as noted and I am not sure if that is a lean angle sensor or if the radar is actully noting pavement. I did not brake so sensor?? :dunno

I had another rider following and thankfully he was staggered because it did brake really hard!! He had a :wtf moment.

Still loving it. Still wish I could throw some $$ at it and lose some weight.

Mutley

Budman, did you try race mode in the twisty's yet. Curious if that stiffened up the suspension. In each mode there are 3 suspension settings.

Yes I did and it certainly appeared too. I have not adjusted any suspension settings in race mode. It can probably be made better.

:laughing

Not everyone can fit on a crotch rocket. :twofinger

Are we bragging about going in a straight line? :p

So much awesome! Got leathers to ride at the Ducati Rev's event at Laguna if they do it in July? Your bike is FUN!

I was not... I only brag about riding the twisties and smoking kids.

So not that often. :p

Well, make sure you can fit into them come next summer...if there's an event. You're going!

I have been dieting. I will continue and hope to slide into my cow skins by Spring.
