3/17/07 Sat- Paintball @ Santa Clara Fairgrounds

Paintballing has gone though a systematic evolution. From the woods to a speedball tournament. I do miss the thrill of stalking an opponent in the outdoor woods. I have so many pictures and video of the old paintball that some of you would have never seen. I can remember one of the most unique scenario game that was held near Carson, NV. It was named The California vs Nevada Challenge and it wasplayed on some old milling factory with the opposing team about a 1/4 mile away in a Beirut looking environment. And one the most memorable thing was that some of our team members were the legendary Ironmen. Anyways we were all asking ourselves how do we know the game will start. Then out of nowhere this loud ass (((BOOM!!!))) that shook the ground (no joke) and we knew then the game has begun. To make it short Cali won. :toothless

What the delio 1337? Can you hook up some 10 to 10 action..

There are many barfers whom I would NOT mind splattering with paint.

I'm sure you can say the same to me! :twofinger

This reminds me of the good old days of pumps and half masks :wow

so i'm thinking sometime between march 9th and the 11th. enough time for the weather to get better, enough time to take work off and cancel plans :) and enough time to practice and get in shape, because let's face it... some of you guys are gonna have a hard time out there if you don't! :laughing. if we can get at least 20 people there then they reserve a field for our party only. 10 on 10 would be crazy if they were all barfers. so how about it? the beginning of march? or is that too late?

yeah it stinks there after the wet season. :(

+sand doesn't work when it rains.

You should close down one field for a Braf'ers day. And since it is Barf make it inexpensive for them. Make it a packaged deal. better yet have a Barf tournament with 3 teams round robin. Not sure what kind of pull you have but it is an idea if you really want some people.

That weekend of March 9 thru 11 would work for me.

if we get at least 20 people in our party we'll already get our own field to play on. other than that, it's $50 to reserve the field and if around 10 to 15 people come that makes it a little extra for each player. and since i work there, if this does go through, i'm gonna get everyone in for $25 a player, which is normally $55. we can buy paint by the case (2000 rounds) afterwards, and it would be $35 a case (normally $55) as long as i go up to get it. is that inexpensive enough? oh yeah. and if we had our own field reserved, we could do whatever we want with it (but tear it down to make our own layout). the barf tournament is possible. and if you really want that to happen. you can set it up. i just came up with the idea.

love, neslie.

The setup sounds cool. I'll invite some of my paintball buddies to this too - we usually play at Bear Creek so this could be a nice change.

Depending on the weather I may go. But for now count me in the only problem is that I am a self-equipped player and had to adapt and evolve in paintball so I shoot an electronic marker with all the gear. So if I do go and the majority shoots rentals and such I will only carry 2 pods to limit my paint. But also need to get a tally on experience level and self-equipped or not.

it's been open for MONTHSSS.

doesn't matter what exp level you're shooting, this'll be a private party. just make sure we're on separate teams... you know, to split up the skill! :p
